We did a day trip to the hot springs with Sebastian and we couldn’t recommend him more. He ran the most organized tour of all the tours we’ve been on, from start to finish, everything was seamless. Not only is he professional and knowledgeable, but he is also a lovely person and we really enjoyed getting to know him on a personal level! He answered all our questions and we got to share stories and joke with each other. We had the best day with him, and we wish we could have done more tours with him!

Katikati Safaris is probably the single most service oriented company I have ever travelled with. Sebastian, the owner, was extremely responsive from the first contact on, discussing all our options and planned activities on Whatsapp. I was looking for someone willing to put in some extra effort for a non-standard photographic tour including both wildlife and culture. In the end, he arranged a heavily customized tour, that responded perfectly to all our craziest wishes: Wildlife including the Wildebeest Migration, Camping with the Maasai, special ceremonies with a Maasai Laibon and even getting is an invitation to a Maasai wedding which was definitely a one-in-a-lifetime experience. We also did some cultural exploration on Zanzibar and Bagamoyo, visiting Mgangas (magic healers) and Fishermen among others. Sebastian also knew how to arrange special photographic opportunities at different scenic locations: Maasai Warriors at Monduli, Lake Natron and Ngorongoro, Hadzabe Hunters at Lake Eyasi, Datoga and Maasai women at different locations, some of them definitely off-the-beaten-track. During our 24 days trip, Sebastian accompanied us himself, and we were also accompanied most of the tour by Joakim as a driver and spotter. What a dream team! It all worked out perfectly - Joakim being a hell of a spotter able to spot a Serval Cat 200 meters away at 6.15 am in the Twilight, and Sebastian managing the cultural visits. In every town, every village, evey Boma and every Camp, Sebastian had a local contact to set up our “special interest” photographic activities. In Zanzibar, the local “guides” were rather a disappointment (interested more in earning commission than doing their job), but having Sebastian with us also saved this part of the trip. He was extremely helpful making conversation with the locals and asking them for (or even talking them into) a picture whenever a good opportunity presented itself. We had early starts (5-6 am) every morning and late arrivals (6-7 pm) every evening due to the photographic nature of the trip. They never once complained about this - instead I will remember their absolute friendliness and dedication to making this trip a huge success. The accomodation Sebastian arranged for us were perfectly suited for our needs throughout the trip, and we never missed anything. We feel that we got amazing value for money and a perfectly planned and executed experience! I would happily give higher scores were this possible. Katikati is an absolute recommendation!

Our private Kilimanjaro trekking experience with Katikati Tours was well organized from the start to the end. Our initial communication with Sebastian helped us select the longer 8 days Lemosho route for the best shot to reach the summit. We flew in a week before our climb for 5 days of exclusive safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro with specialist safari guide Musa. In comparison to the other climbing troupes it was evident that Katikati Tours is a cut above the rest from the superior quality equipment, mobile toilet and 2 guides- Ibrahim and Linus for us. They played a very important part in ensuring our safety and ultimate success of summitting Kilimanjaro. Overall, Katikati tours did an awesome job in organizing the safari and Kilimanjaro trekking adventure in style. Carolina & Marcello

Katikati Tours organized a customized luxury safari that took us to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, it included different activities to meet the desires of my 2 boys and their father who just turned fifty. We have been traveling together a lot lately to different parts of the world and this trip was the best in terms of service quality and rich encounters; punctual transfers, comfortable transportation in a four wheel drive jeep, wonderful luxurious accommodations and an enthusiastic guide. The game drives were amazing, we got to see more than 50 lions, countless herds of elephants, lovely arboreal animal and water birds, thousands wildebeest. It was also amazing to get an aerial perspective of the park from the hot air balloon. We would love to return to Tanzania for another adventure someday and there is no doubt that Katikati Tours will be my first call.

We took my brother’s recommendation and booked with Katikati Tours and we found the operator to be absolutely amazing. We have no prior Tanzania safari experience to compare with but my wife and I are in agreement that Sebastian and team excellently catered for our safari. Their attention to detail is second to none and we really have nothing to complain about. Tanzania parks are still very natural where animals are abundant. Serengeti is very huge and beautiful however we were mesmerized by the beauty and abundance of different animal species in Ngorongoro crater. Tanzania safari is a must do and do not hesitate to contact Katikati Tours for excellent service.
