Emmanuel and Justin are some of the best guides I have experienced in Arusha. They were very calm and filled with knowledge. They were very attentive to our needs, and planned the hike after our level of experience. It was also clear that they actually knew the area and was part of the village and community, which ensured that we felt very welcome!

The coffee tour at the end of the hike, was amazing! From my experience of coffee tours in Arusha, they are often a big show with singing and dancing. But here it was completely down to earth in peaceful surroundings! So I would definitely recommend Ifulong Cultural Tourism, if you prefer to learn about the local farms, traditional techniques of making cofee in a more relaxed setting!

We were on a tour with Emmanuel a couple of days ago. We had our 3 small children with us age 7-8 years old and he planned the hike after their level. Emmanuel is a very friendly guide and is filled with knowledge. He know the village and is a part of the community. During our hike he taught us all about the fruits, vegetables and spices. He also showed us the village, its houses and School.

Furthermore we were guided down to a beautiful waterfall and ended our hike in a local house where tanzanian food were served as lunch.

Emmanuel taught us about how the locals uses different techniques in making coffee and the children were involved in all the processes. We ended the day with tasting a delicious cup of coffee.

I will recommemd everybody who is in Arusha to visit Emmanuel and Ifulong Cultural Tourism if they are up for at cultural experience.

We had a great time living with Emmanuel and his family in his parents’ house. We experienced the Tanzanian way of living, including: Hiking around the villages, farms and forests in the Poli area; talking to the local people in the school and at the hospital; drinking sour banana beer at the local pub; practicing how to make coffee - from bean to brew; eating fresh food and local dishes in his house. Emmanuel and his family were also really kind to our children. This was truly an unforgettable experience. Warm recommendations!

Ifulong gave us a very nice expirience. A hike precenting Tazanian culture and plants in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The guides were super friendly and helpful. The traditional Tanzanian lunch was so tasteful. Compliments to the chef.
After lunch we got an introduction in the making of coffee. The cup of freshly roasted and brewed coffee, was a perfect ending on a very nice day.

The one day trip was amazing. We had two guides which could tell us so much about the plants and how they use them in Africa. We also made by ourselves some coofe and drunk it. We even got the coffee beans in a nice bag as a gift. The lunch was traditional and really delicious. The waterfall was also amazing! We drunk out of a passion fruit, drunk in a local "pub" banana beer and tried banana wine. I can really recommend the trip.

After a fantastic day, I sadly have to say that I will never come back to this place again. I can write a page full with how fun this experience was, how much we learned, and how pleasant our interactions were, however the latter turned out to be insincere.

Although we were told by our hotel (locals) that we should not tip cultural tours, we wanted to show our appreciation and give a tip after the director Emanuel and his team member Justin dropped us off at the airport. A few minutes later, Emanuel came to look for my travel partner inside the airport to ask for a higher tip!

This experience ruined not only our whole day, but also to some extend the general trust in the people here, especially after (before tipping) sharing our relief with Emanuel about being outside of Arusha for the day, where we had been harassed by people who try to get something for you, that we were so glad to have found a place where people were not harassing you and wanted something from you. All kindness seemed to have been for monetary purposes. Whatever my feelings are about this: this is not how you run a business and treat clients. After you agree on a price, a tip is not a right.

What an afternoon...we had an amazing tour with the super friendly guide Emmanuel through his village and we were the only tourists there! All people were really friendly and open! The coffee roasting was very interesting and the fresh brewed coffee a dream by day!

We did the full day trip with a hike through the villages below my Meru, followed by an amazing lunch and a chance to make our own coffee. The guides were interesting and friendly and we even got to keep a bag of the coffee beans we had just roasted!

I had a wonderful time hiking 3 different days with Emanuel around the hills of Arusha. We went to peaks, valleys, waterfalls and made coffee in the traditional way. Very pleasant and good conversation, I hope that others will enjoy this experience as much as I did. There is so much natural beauty around Arusha and Emanuel knows how to navigate it all.

We had a wonderful stay in Ifulong, where we were greeted by the sweetest family who gave us a tour of their farm, taught us about the process of growing different fruits, and last but not least, showed us how to make coffee from scratch. We were served amazing food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all prepared by Emanuel's (the founder of Ifulong Cultural Tourism) mother. The surroundings are very authentic and relaxing. Unlike in Arusha, where walking just five meters from where you're staying can feel stressful, it’s truly pleasant and enjoyable to take a stroll around Ifulong, where you are met by friendly people at every corner, greeting you without trying to sell you anything.
