We did a 3 day lodge safari with Bobby Tour. The experience was fantastic. We did Tarangire and Ngorongoro national park. Our guide was experienced and provided a lot of information during the safari. Marera lodge that was selected for us was great: spacious rooms, swimming pool, 3 course dinner each night which was great after a long day on the safari. Bobby tours was extremely helpful before and during the safari, providing us information on our trip and adapting to our needs. I hugely recommend Bobby Tours.

from my reasearch of the companies arranging trips in arusha bobby tours had the best prices. communication with Kassim -the boss was quite ok and he or his assistants replied relatively fast, although when I wanted to find out more detailed information I had to bombard them with emails. so if you want to know details above what is written on their website you will have to work for it. tip: they also responded quite fast on their whatsapp Kilimanjaro - we booked 7 days climb via Machame route . the climb went well , the guides were fine and friendly, especially the assistant guides Emanuelly . the food was good and there was plenty of it. the porters carry tents and your big bag, the food is served in separate big tent and there are chairs and table. my biggest reproach is that one of the tents they provided was not exactly suited for this kind of trek. we had some decent tents - marmot brand (the zippers did not work on some of them) but there was also one quechua brand more suited for summer festivals than for a trek in 4000m - fortunately water did not get in despite the fact that it was raining every day-I got lucky there. nevertheless all participants should have the same standard of tent. the last day you should pay the tip to the the whole crew and here is my second reproach - the chief guide boni tried to make up a story about one extra porter he had to hire becuase bla bla - simply put he tried to get more money from us which did not surprise but anyway. overall the trek was organised quite well . note about the cars: on our way back from the mountain one of the bobby tours cars got flat tire twice in twenty minutes 5days budget camping safari - we were quite a big group so we had to go in two cars. the difference in quality of drivers/guides was discernable. one of the drivers Julius was knowledgable, experienced and had eagle eyes. he took his time to stop the car and tell us some facts about the animals , he had his own binoculars which he also lended to us. we saw many animals thanks to him. an amiable guy. we stayed in tents in camping grounds with the usual facilities (toilet, shower). again the food was good and plenty. the description of the program on the website could be more detailed note about the cars: on our way back to arusha, first, one of the cars broke down, some of us got into another bobby tours car passing by, the rest got into the second car. then the second car broke down. furtunately this happend to the end of the safari . all in all I think the value for money in this company is good, yes the cars are old and on the safari other companies had little fridge in the car or a charging station for mobiles which bobby tours did not but we did not really need it . in our case the cars broke down both times on way back from the climb /from the safari so I guess we were lucky. had it happened lets say on the second day of safari the review would be much more negative recommendation to bobby tours - you should definitely invest more money into the cars and probably also new tents

My partner and I decided to book a trip after arriving in Arusha. Bobby Tours managed to arrange our 4 day Safari trip within one day. The managers Kassim and his father were most welcoming and transparent. On top of that, their services, packages and prices are clear and competitive compared to other agencies we visited. During our private trip, we were in the company of a guide Philemon and a chef Musa. Philemon was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions on Tanzanian culture, the animals, traditions and Swahili language. We really enjoyed the 4 days with him as a guide. Moussa the chef managed to prepare very tasty breakfasts, lunches and dinners. On our way back we had some issues with the car tires. As we had a flight booked directly at the end of our trip schedule, we missed our flight. Kassim immediately provided the best service after notice to ensure the continuation of our journey, by arranging a taxi, a beautiful hotel and new flight tickets for the morning after. We could not have been assisted better at that moment. As we had an amazing safari experience, we would highly recommend booking via Bobby Tours if you are looking for a reliable and transparent agency. And for the Dutch people: ieder jaar staan Kassim en zijn vader op de Vakantiebeurs in Utrecht.. Mocht je in de gelegenheid zijn om langs te gaan dan is dat het zeker de moeite waard!
