From initial communications with Francisco, everything was great. Organising a custom itinerary for a private tour and keeping in regular contact with us throughout.
From using my branding on the vehicle (unrequested, a very nice touch), to collecting us at the airport and transferring us to the hotel.
Amani the guide was a great host, helping out with issues on check-in at the hotel, his eyesight (without binoculars) was incredible, spotting animals from distances we needed binoculars to identify!
We picked the food up at the start of the safari from local suppliers, the chef created some remarkable meals from scratch while camping, incredible what Cabello managed to create.
Everything was organised perfectly, we had some incredible animal experiences and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lappet Faced Safaris to anyone and everyone.

From the first contact with the agency by email and what’s up the answer from Francisco, the director was quick and professional understanding perfectly our preferences, tailoring our itinerary. His economical offer also it was on the top of price quality ranking. Any change or inconvenience was solved quickly.
We were visiting Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro on a 4x4 convertible with the best driver and guide that you can find . His name is Naftal, he is educated, good person, and fantastic searching and finding the animals. We saw the big five with him at NGORONGORO.
We highly recommend the agency and of course Naftal the driver / guide.

We had an amazing 7-day safari visiting Tarangire National Park, the Ndutu region of southern Serengeti, Central Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater. Before arriving in Tanzania I had regular communication with Francisco, the owner of Lappet Faced Safaris. Francisco always responded promptly and answered all of our questions as we planned this custom safari. I was very impressed by his prompt and thorough responses to questions and his willingness to be flexible with our itinerary during the planning stages of this trip. We were met at the airport by our driver/guide, Amani, who accompanied us for the duration of the safari. To say that Amani went above and beyond was an understatement. He was an amazing guide and he did a great job in finding various wildlife and putting us in an excellent position to observe and photograph. He was also very good at answering our questions about the wildlife, the vegetation and the people of Tanzania. I was very impressed and I could tell that he enjoyed his work and that he knew what he was talking about when explaining things about different animals. It really made the trip a more complete experience. I was very pleased with our accommodations throughout our safari, as well as with the food. Everything matched the information that we received from Francisco when we were planning our trip. Lappet Faced Safaris is a small locally-owned safari company and they provide first-class service. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in visiting Tanzania and experiencing a safari. Francisco is flexible in putting together a trip itinerary so do not hesitate to share what your interests are for your safari experience and he will work with you to meet those plans. We wanted to see the wildebeest migration during their calving season, as well as seeing other resident wildlife and what we experienced during our safari was simply amazing.

Everything was perfect! Francisco was Amazing at organizing the trip we wanted. He really took the time to answer all my questions at any time and custom made our trip with a fair price.
We had two awesome guides Jonathan for Mount Meru and Naoli for the Safari. We were camping most of the trip but don’t get me wrong, it was 5* camping with the best private cook called Solo, I mean even at the top of the mountain every meal was so tasty and every day different.
Thank you to the whole crew, hope to be back soon!

We had an eleven day great safari with Lappet through Arusha national park, Tarangire, Ngorongoro conservancy and crater, Serengeti and Lake Manyara national parks. It was memorable, though I've made a number of safaris in many other African countries, coming back to Tanzania twenty years after proved a very valuable decision. The role of Francisco and Gabriel in making everything happen smoothly was very much appreciated. Both the choice of accommodation, the routing, the organization day by day by Gabriel proved perfect. They made me decide to come back next year with a larger group of family and relatives who have been longing for a dream safari. I am confident Francisco and his colleagues will deliver both on quality and cost.

Excellent communications before our late booking, all questions and queries were answered immediately. Airport pickup was as planned. All hotels and lodges were of a high standard, our tour guide was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Our private safari tour exceeded our expectations and we saw so many wonderful animals and beautiful birds with spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Emanuel our tour guide also taught us a lot about life in Tanzania. We could not have asked for more.

We done a 7 days safari with Lappet Faced Safaris and it was insane !
Amazing moments with Francisco, the better guide ever ! A local men who know perfectly the place.
Thank’s to him we spend very goods moments, all of the accommodations was very nice and the owners very kindly.
We arrived in Arusha for our first night, we had two nights in Ngorongoro then we spend 2 days in a je Serengeti National Parc to finish with the creta.
Francisco understood what we are looking for and he do the job very perfectly. Like a lion king 🦁
My wife and I realised a childhood dream thanks to him. We have seen a lot of animals and several times the big 5 ! It was just amazing. We recommend !

We had a great time in Tanzania with our trip organized by Francisco, which included climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in 7 days and going on a 3-day safari. Everything was perfectly organized and went smoothly: beginning with the pick-up at the airport we felt welcomed and in good hands. Our entire team going up the mountain as well as our safari guide Michael were amazing. Fully recommend!

10 days safari with Lapped Faced Safaris - it was just great. The tour was organised according to my wishes. Serengeti with Great Migration, Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire National Park offered unforgettable experiences. The tour was perfectly organised and the lodges and hotels were great. A tour only becomes a highlight with a competent guide. My guide was excellent!
Corona is not a problem thanks to very well-functioning hygiene measures. At the airport, in the accomodations, in shopping centres and markets - everywhere you have the opportunity to wash and disinfect your hands. There's no reason not to visit this great country. And with Lappet Faced Safaris, the trip will be unforgettable.

Is it best to obtain a Visa for Tanzania at the Kilimanjaro Airport upon arrival or ahead of the trip through online application?
