Wild Secret Safaris was our best choice because they not only offer Halal Kilimanjaro packages, but also have the most professional and caring crew. I together with my brother Hussein just came back from a really wonderful Kilimanjaro Adventure via the Lemosho trail.
Musa delivered on all the areas we had agreed upon in our lengthy preparatory discussions and even exceeded our expectations.
The crew led by Issa was very experienced and thoughtful. They handled all the aspects of the trek with care and diligence. I highly appreciate their kindness and attention to details; when it was prayer-time on the trail Issa would find a secluded place and even lead us in prayer. It was also nice to have a prayer tent.
Shabir the cook spoiled us with delicious Halal meals.
We both made it to the summit and this was not a small achievement. It took the collective contribution from every one in the climbing party.
Inshallah we'll meet again in December when we come back for safari.

We recently went on our first Tanzania safari trip that Rashid from Wild Secret Safaris organized for our family. It was 6 days trip to Tarangiri, Serengeti south and Ngorongoro Crater. We had a fantastic guide- Mussa who showed and taught us so much about the culture, wildlife and places that we visited. We made very good pictures thanks to Mussa’s expertise in tracking game and angling the 4x4 to get best shots. We stayed in nice comfortable camps with caring and attentive staff. Food was plentiful and delicious. I recommend Wild Secrets Safaris with absolute confidence that you will be in good hands.

We had an incredible and humbling experience recently with Wild Secret Safaris during the seven days Kilimanjaro Machame trek followed by four days of safari.
This was my first time in Tanzania and the second trip for my wife who had done a safari with Musa back in 2019.
Musa is a stickler to detail so the whole trip transpired hitch free. We had an awesome all Moslem crew that supported us all the way to the summit and very reassuring to know that they observed our wishes for a Halal package.
Kilimanjaro is exhausting but definitely worth the pain. It was a lifechanging experience to experience such a majestic creation.
The safari was amazing as well, traversing the splendour of Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
Thank you for everything Musa, we really appreciate your service.

My wife, 7 yr old son and I just returned from a 7 day Halal safari in Tanzania and what an amazing experience! We opted for Wild Secrets Safari for their Halal offering, rave reviews and reasonable cost not forgetting Rashid our contact who was very professional in his communication. Our trip with guide Musa was wonderful. He was attentive and caring as he drove my small family to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We did see the big 5 and many other animals. Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater are a must visit for all going to Tanzania as they have a wonderful mix of animals and beautiful landscapes. Rashid organized our stay in lodges that observe Halal practice while offering excellent service. We had an excellent time in Tanzania thanks to Wild Secrets Safaris who know how deliver perfectly.

We had originally planned our trip with Wild Secret Safari for 2020, but things didn't quite work out as planned. The Wild Secret Safari team was very accommodating and we were finally able to get the trip done in December 2021. They arranged everything for us, including pick up and drop off at the airport. They knew where to go and we got a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness all the abundant natural beauty of Tanzania and the Serengeti. They arranged the hotel stays and all of them were above par, comfortable, and enjoyable stays (even in the middle of the Serengeti).

We went with wild secret safaris for a 6 day trip to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro conservation area. The trip was well-planned so that we covered all the major wilderness spots. We started off with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire national park. Tarangire offered plenty of elephant sightings up close. We were then driven to Serengeti and halted at the farm of dream lodge for the night, which was a beautiful experience. Serengeti is one of the seven wonders of Africa. We saw plenty of wildlife including lions and cheetahs. On our way, we also stopped at a maasai village where the people helped us learn about their beautiful tradition. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our trip also included a drive through Ndutu plains and Ngorongoro conservation areas. We were able to witness a lion pride which had just made a kill. Overall, the trip was an awesome experience, I would highly recommend them.
Since we were in the middle of a pandemic, We took supplements such as Vitamin C to prevent us from getting sick. The trip is rugged but if you have a love for wilderness, then it is well worth it.
Besides, they also help you offer salah and serve halal food.

The following is a very thorough review of our 5* safari holiday, majestically delivered by the Wild Secret Safari team! Without a shadow of a doubt, the best family holiday I have had.

The Safari
We were a family of 5, including 2 Children. Rashid organised everything for us from the hotels/camps/lodges to airport transfers. As soon as we arrived in Tanzania we were met with our tour guide Nathan at the airport. We stayed in Arusha for one night, then our Safari begun to Tarangire national park to get a flavour of shats to come before moving onto the beautiful landscapes of Serengeti. We visited Central and Northern parts of Serengeti and witnessed the amazing Wildebeest Migration, including the ricer crossing on 2 separate occasions! Nathan was a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. He took us on game drive routes not many other tour guides were familiar with, due to his vast experience. He could spot animals from quite a distance ad were able to see Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, Baboons, Wildebeest, Buffalos, Hippos, Crocs and Hyena, including exotic birds and much more! He also made us the best hot chocolates! We had some awesome encounters with Lions and Elephants, something we will never forget! The roads are quite bumpy and dusty in Serengeti just be aware. Nathan was an excellent driver though, he tried to make the journey as pleasant as possible. We met him every morning with a spotless car and good banter! Moving on to Ngorongoro crater was a very memorable experience, the number of animals we came across in a short amount of time was amazing. We even had a nice picnic lunch and took some incredible pictures! Lake Manyara we visited on our way back to Arusha, which was a nice national park but with less action compared to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.

Halal Food
With our safari package our food was catered for, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. After breakfast at the camps/lodges we were out for morning game drives.
Our lunches were prepared for us every day by the camps/lodges in our picnic boxes which we would eat outside in designated picnic areas located in the National Parks, or in our Jeep. Lunch boxes were made to order by telling the staff in the lodges our chosen options for the day.
Dinner- we were always back at the lodges/camps in time for dinner which was usually served around 7/7.30pm.
All the food was Halal in the camps/lodges we stayed in, which was amazing. Stress free! The owner of the Ole Serai camps is a Muslim himself so we were at ease.

Accomadation
All our camps and lodges were luxurious with beautiful views of sunsets/sunrises. We enjoyed every moment in them, including the gourmet Halal food. They exceeded our expectations! All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We would definitely choose Ole Serai again in our next visit!

Massai Village
During our stay we had a chance to visit a Massai Village, for an extra cost, not included in our package. It is a $50 entry free to visit them, charged per family. You are able to see them dance and take as many pics/videos of them. They will show you around, where they live and show you inside their huts. The chief will tell you about their culture, lifestyle, religion etc. You can even join in on their dancing if you would like and then at the end they will show you their hand crafted items for sale. This felt a bit unpleasant as we felt we had to buy something to support them, even though we had already paid them an entry fee. Also, their prices are crazy, so haggling was required. At the end we were told to leave because another family were here-which left us a little disappointed. Overall we didn’t feel like it was worth it as it wasnt really an authentic encounter, better off visiting a real maasai village.

Shopping
There are a small shops on the sides of the road while driving out of Arusha or into Manyara. You can ask the driver to stop by to do some souvenir shopping. Just to warn you, you will need to do a lot of negotiating and haggling at these places since they will start off with the crazy prices which will leave you feeling very frustrated. E.g. $10 for 1 keyring.

Tanzanite (this part was written by the Mrs!)
If you want to buy some tanzanite please ask your guide to take you to a genuine place, like the Safari Galleria, or some places have tanzanite counters inside hotels. There is discounts and haggling involved in buying tanzanite as well, if you want the best quality choose AAA+. They are pricey but they are beautiful gems!

Zanzibar
We stayed at a beautiful resort for 3 nights – all inclusive food. The beaches in Zanzibar are incredible with white sands. This a really nice place to come and relax after your hectic safari trip.

Overall our Safari was amazing, Africa is a beautiful country. We would 100% come back again through Wild Secret Safaris.

Wild Secret and in particular Rashid, has got to be the most amazing internet find ever!

About a week before we departed for our safari the initial accommodation we had booked decided to inform us that they would not cater for our needs and that they were over booked (luckily we had agreed to pay then in cash), they were unapologetic and rude.

Frantically, I had got on the internet and after a few Google searches and some glances of some reviews I had stumbled upon the Wild Secret Safari website.

What was amazing was that the website had a chat module and immediately a message popped up with "hello, how can we help you".....I was thinking it would take dozens of expensive international calls to resolve the mess we were in however this chat option really made it easy for us to connect with Rashid and Wild Secret.

So me and my party of 4 were working on a very strict budget and some members of my party had particular dietary requirements so its wasn't easy to find suitable accommodation on the route we wanted to take. Rashid was quick with his responses and knew immediately the lodges that could accommodate our needs. He suggested a few mid tier options and quickly went about getting us some quotes....I compared what he got with online sites like booking.com (which I also get 10percent discounts on) and although his quote was cheaper than the online ones it was still a little too high for our budget.

He didn't give up though and I pleaded with him to go back and negotiate with the lodges and after a few attempts he was able to secure for us an unbelievable price....we are so grateful to Rashid, thank you.

Our trip was truly unforgettable and the lodge wild secret arranged for us was the best of the lot.

I would highly recommend Wild Secret Safari for all aspects of the safari experience.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rashid and his team in Arusha, they have new safari vehicles that also open up sideways and offer a lot of extras that other tour companies do not such as gourmet lunches and picnic equipment. In hindsight, I wish I had booked everything through them from the beginning. I will be back for sure and next time I'm will not hesitate to get in touch with Rashid first. He is such an honest and humble gentleman and will most certainly find a way to help even if it means he gets nothing out of it.

Rashid you are a credit to Wild Secret Safari and I am very pleased I got to meet you in person.

All the best of luck with the future and keep being awesome dude!

The overall experience was fantastic. It started out with email communications with Rashid. Rashid organized the whole trip from start to finish and
arranged for the safari plan, airport pickup, lodging and meals. Our driver and Guide Nathan was OUTSTANDING ! He was friendly, intelligent, and completely knowledgeable about the wildlife and history of the Tanzanian game parks. He was also just a fun guy to be with. Every day we had prepared for us at lunch a fantastic kitchen made lunch with rice, curry or meats, grilled veggies and desert fruits + French press coffee. In our trip we visited, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti National parks. We saw Many lions, leopards, cheetah, elephants, rhino, giraffe, cape buffalo,
Thompson gazelle, hyena, Jackals etc. Our lodging was also top rate and can be looked up on google . We stayed at Kudu lodge ( Fantastic ) , the Serengeti Heritage tent camp ( also fantastic ) and we stayed at Kiboku lodge ( really great ) for the first and last days in and out of Arusha. A traveler has no need to worry about anything when booking a trip with wild secret safaris-Everything is taken care of and you will be assured of a wonderful time. I just cannot recommend this outfit and with Nathan and Rashid enough!
