If you are curious about big summit climbing and would like to stay on the magic roof of Africa, we can highly recommend the Machame route with ClimbKili to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro in a safe way. We joined the 7 day tour now in December and are totally amazed by the crew, the professionalism, the comfort, safety, friendliness and fun we experienced. An easy five star review to ClimbKili in this case. Yes you have to throw your office body into a tent for several nights and yes it hurts. But I can confirm that the crew is doing anything they can to make it as smooth as possible: acclimatization both to high altitude, thin air and thin mattresses! We were provided a personal toilet tent and George cooked magic food out of ‘nothing’ (wonderful raw materials brought up the mountain, even fresh coriander!) and what’s most remarkable is that at no point we had any stomach issues, despite the basic living. There was one single rule: eat, drink, eat, drink. So we did. And despite heavy wind we made it to the summit, full of energy, on January 2nd together with Daniel & James. It was a rough ride up but when you stay there in the sunrise ‘nothing else matters’. Just you, an awesome panorama from Uhuru peak, and an amazing Tanzania below you. Africa is a wonderful place and we are extremely thankful and proud for having the chance in life to be on such a magic summit with such a winning and strong team. Thanks!
