What makes us different from other safari companies is our attention to details. We know Tanzania, allow us to share this beauty of this country with you. Lomo simply means Less on Ourselves,More on Others. On this principle the company is dedicated in supporting the less privileged members of the community through education.

We spent an amazing safari with Lomo Tanzania Safari as well as with Wild of Choices (their partner in Kenya with whom we got in touch and had constructive support to build the itinerary and book the trip). Everything started with a VIP pick up at the airport by Erasto, with snacks and champagne. The selected lodges were comfortable, with proper food. The 4x4 Land Cruiser vehicle was above our expectations with high quality and comfortable equipments. This is without mentioning Peter, our wonderful guide and driver for our 3-day safari through Tarangire and Ngorongoro national parks: Peter was sympathetic and gave us many information and tips on the wildlife surrounding us, while letting us enjoying as much as possible in our own space. He was also very attentive and strategic to give us the opportunity to see as many animals as possible.
In sum, we strongly recommend Lomo Tanzania Safari Ltd for your upcoming safaris and won’t hesitate to book again!

This was a trip that exceeded our expectations. The amount of wildlife was simply amazing. Besides seeing all the classic animals such as lions, elephants, zebras, and giraffes, we saw dozens of other animal types and literally tens of thousands of total animals. And all of it up close. We kept a list and by the end we had seen over 30 different varieties of animals and that's not counting all the amazing birds. We did our travel through Lomo Tanzania Safari. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I can't imagine doing this trip without their expert help. Erasto made the booking very easy and was quick to respond as we were making plans and trying to understand our options. Philip was our guide and it became obvious that he is one of the best and truly a guide's guide. His expertise at finding more difficult wildlife and predicting wonderful spots for viewing was unsurpassed. His knowledge of the wildlife was profound. Everyday was a bit different and added to the overall experience. All of the nightly accommodations were excellent and there was always more than enough good food to eat. We would highly recommend that everyone have a Tanzania safari experience and when you make your plans you should do so through Lomo and request Philip as your guide.

Great experience from arrival to departure. The communication around the trip preparation was very swift and clear. Welcome drinks with cookies at JRO airport, transfer to the hotel and complete briefing with Hellen were perfect. Off to a 3-days safari early morning (Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and lake Manyara) with Rahim (good driver, very kind, respectful, big knowledge about fauna and flora) and Mactilda (first female guide as trainee, very kind, respectful, great knowledge about wildlife). They enabled us to see so many animals; both were very good spotters and always searching for the best places to see the animals, but with great respect for them however as well as for the nature around us. They took great care of us, serving nice cooked lunches at midday, making drinks, coffee and tea available at any time. We felt very comfortable and had some good laughs. Saying good bye to them was rather sad, but we were so happy about this unforgettable experience.
The chosen Lodge during the safari (Pamoja, Karatu) was a truly nice surprise; big bungalows in a beautiful garden, pool, caring staff.
We will definitely arrange another trip with LOMO in the future and would definitely warmly recommend the whole LOMO team to anyone who wants to live a wonderful experience in this region.
Another aspect of LOMO we appreciated was the idea behind it : Less for Ourselves More for Others = there is a foundation that helps Tanzanian people in need. A part of your money supports this which is quite motivating.

Our visit in Tanzania was a lifetime experience, and it wouldn’t have been the same without our amazing guide and the Lomo Tanzania Safari team. During our safari experience, I personally loved how our guide described in detail our route, the points of interest on the road, he was taking his time to tell us about Tanzania's culture and helped us discover lots of hidden gems. While driving through the national parks, he had a nice way of telling the story behind the animal’s life and behavior. I totally recommend Lomo Tanzania Safari, the route is very well thought out, the guides are well trained, adaptable and polite. In addition to the good atmosphere and great experience, they make you feel safe and have a great time.

Erasto Gurdy is an experienced and most excellent safari guide, and trains his young guides to meet his high standard. We saw things that I am quite sure that others would have missed and often we saw them with nobody else around. We were up close, safe and personal with most wildlife that we saw. The food and accommodations were fantastic, the price was fair, the days were pleasant and full of laughter. I’d rate the overall experience was A+, and significantly beyond my expectations.

I was in Zanzibar with family my daughter son in law and 2 grandchildren a safari had been on my bucket list for many years. My daughter researched many companies and asked me to book Lomo she told me that they were not pushy like many of the companies also they never criticised other companies and seemed the best value for money.We we’re not disappointed we arrived at the airport and were greeted by our guides who greeted us with great friendship and respect they showed lots of concern for my grandchildren.We booked to see three national parks the accommodations were first class their slogan is a trip that changes lives and for me it certainly did great value for money I would highly recommend this company after speaking with other guests at our hotel I realised that we’d made the right choice.

We can highly recommend Lomo as your partner to have a Safari in Tanzania. We took the 5-day program and it was worth every penny spend. Ramping up to the trip, we had regular contact with the Lomo team to get prepared. their swift and professional responses gave us a very good feeling in preparing the trip.
Lomo uses top accommodation on the most memorable places.
Our Lomo guide during the Safari was very kind and knowledgeable. You truly feel the safari is organised to your own desires which was reflected in their flexible mindset and during your parc visits, everything is foreseen to give you a experience to never forget.
We will for sure make use of their excellent service again in the future.

It was our second time on safari but first time with Lomo, who was recommended via a friend. We looked at half a dozen options and decided to go with this one for the communication, flexibility, spec of accommodation and price. We were with a family of three and two extra adults.
We were collected from the airport, with lovely little surprise gestures to make us feel more welcome.
They helped us plan our itinerary on arrival, made the rooms available for early check ins where possible (prob only poss due to low season), arranged extra requests for grandma’s bday and was always available to every need we had.
We decided to have some shorter days out on safari as we left earlier in the mornings and saw so much action that we had some hours to enjoy the amazing hotels chosen for us before the sun went down. Manyara Secrets was especially amazing, but all the places we stayed were beautiful, authentic, food was great as was the staff.
Have to make a special mention to Philip our driver. It was a joy to have him with us for the week. He always checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying everything. Nothing was too much hassle, our 6 year old bonded with him so much he missed not seeing him the following days.

To begin, comunication with Lomo Safari was super helpful in fulfilling our needs and wishes.
We took 3day Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara NP tour. Day before our trip the chief of Lomo Safari visited us and we run through entire itinerary and tuned small details.
Starting the first day of the trip, we met our driver Rahim and the car we went with. I would like to appreciate the condtition and equipment of the car. There is a WiFi onboard, you can charge your gadgets aswell and there was a fridge with refresments and snacks.
As for the each of the parks we were very lucky seeing so many animals we couldn't even imagine, some far, some very close to vehicle.
Each day Rahim set us a pre-made lunch which was super delicious everytime. You can choose whether you want to dine the proper way with plates and cutlery or to have a lunch box. Also big thanks to Rahim who did everything to our please, his knowledge was superb and we learned so much about Tanzania fauna and flora.
Overall I would like to the thank the Lomo Safari, Erasto and Rahim for wonderfull experience which we are lucky to have. We really enjoyed our stay at safari and sure will do recommend to our friends.

We did a 3 day/2 nights Safari visiting Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara Nationaler. It was smoothly organised and our guide Peter was great. Knowledgable, funny but not intrusive. Just perfect experience, also not too expensive.

What kind of bags are allowed for internal travel Safari by air in Tanzania? Can we use wheels on our 30 Lb bags?
