Let's begin with the good things: nice garden, nice view, nice waterfall in beautiful nature.

BUT: the owner of this restsurant told us that the waterfalls belong to him privately and therefore we should pay 10 Dollars for every person to walk there on a very old and dangerous path. And the waterfall was not private at all.

By the way: the meat was so hard that it was absolutely impossible to chew it. The dogs liked it...

We are residents of Arusha. My family and I decided to take a day trip to Themi Falls. The road going to there was in bad shape. Upon arrival we were greeted by a man who took our payment then proceeded to rush my husband to reception, hardly allowing us time to use the rest room before hiking. We started on the trail, thinking he would tell us which direction to go and leave us, but he led us the entire way. To preface this statement, my family and I are in very good physical condition. However, we struggled to keep up with the guide. He seemed impatient when we wanted to stop and take pictures of the falls. Although rushed, the views were great. We rushed back to reception and the guide walked us to our car, expecting a tip. We didn't ask for any of his services. So we then tipped him and he didn't think it was enough, although it was a half of day's wage for an African. Thinking we paid for total admission, we grabbed our picnic lunch and proceeded to a table to eat. The guide followed us there and brought us another chair to use and asked if we needed water to wash our hands before eating. He then said he was going to eat breakfast and left. While we were eating, a manager approached our table, asking to meet with one of us privately. We told him he could say whatever he needed to say in front of all five of us. He then told us that no outside food or drink was permitted and gave us no choice but to pack up our half eaten lunches and leave. They followed us to our car, sat nearby while we finished eating. So the man who claimed he was "getting breakfast" and helped us set up for lunch went and told the manager we brought our own lunch then we had to leave. There was nobody else there, we were out of sight, and nowhere on the website or on the property was it posted to not bring in outside food/drink. If he would have told us from the beginning that a picnic was not permitted, we would have understood. But he helped us set up and then went to tell on us. Again, the views were great and the hike was good, but they didn't seem to care about keeping visitors happy, knowing we are residents here and could have brought repeat business.

It has scenic views of Mt. Meru and a pretty good hike to the nearby river and small waterfall around the area

Came here for the first time a couple of weeks ago - Totally taken aback by the nice setup and beautiful nature! One of the owners showed us around all the way to the falls and was extremely hospitable. Was very surprised that this place which is very close to Arusha had escaped us until now... Will definitely be back! Highly recommend to put your feet in the river below the water falls.

After a hectic hike to Mt Meru waterfall we stopped in at Themi Falls for a drink and to catch our breath. Friends had recommended it to us and it was a life saver - calm, quiet and restful, with lots of space in the garden for guests so we didn't feel on top of anyone else. A wonderful rejuvenating stop!

I'm always coming back here since forever. If you need a place that is away from the busy city with beautiful surroundings, this is the place to be. Enjoy sitting by the fire at the lounge and sipping freshly ground coffee when temperatures drop, but when the sun is out, walk barefoot on the soft grass of a well scaped garden surrounded by hills and the most close up beautiful view of Mount Meru. But if you are up for it, enjoy the hike to and fro the waterfalls. It's so worth it. Very breathtaking.

We came for a hike to Naar Engolong hill and to the water fall and had lunch at Themi Falls Leisure Park afterwards. The location is very peaceful and relaxing. The gardens are in perfect shape. I had a burger for lunch, which was very good. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Beautiful waterfalls and worthwhile. That said, the hike down to the falls was very very challenging. We had a ton of rain the weeks before our hike, and the trail was very muddy and very slippery. I would not recommend this trail for the feint of heart. Going up was challenging but not scary. Going down was downright scary and somewhat dangerous. The falls was beautiful!! One more thing. GOOD SHOES WITH GOOD TRACTION IF THERE HAS BEEN ANY RAIN IN THE PREVIOUS WEEK.
