Yichung Shopping Street is also very popular among the locals so on the night we visited it was very crowded. A lot of shops and food stalls - the food are at great deal and look very delicious. Highly recommended!

Definitely worth a visit if you are in Taichung! I was there on a weekend and it was really crowded! Must try the "539 盐酥菇", just so addictive! :)

This area wasn't crowded during our visit in the afternoon. We walked here after visiting Taichung Park. Visitors here were mostly young people. Plenty of street food stalls around. This place is not very big like Feng Jia night market. Wife went for haircut and wash for only NT288 in one of the buildings. Name of the salon is Crazy... More

We took bus 67 from treeart hotel to Yizhong. Bus ride was about 40 mins and it's free. We tried the recommended 'hao da ji pa' (extra big fried chicken chop). It wasn't oily though fried. Didn't expect it to have bones. It is not bad but I prefer SG's version of shilin cao da ji pa. Bought a shawl... More

It was so crowded there. You even couldn't see the road, you only could see the hair, hair, hair and hair.If you wanted to buy something good, you had to line up,and the line was long. You couldn't eat three items of food in half an hour.

Many have mentioned that fengchia night market is a nice place to eat and shop in taichung. But through my personal experience i prefer Yichung night market(Yichung shopping street) as it provides a wider range of food and clothes.

Although it is less mentioned as compared to Fengchia Night Market, this also has a good mix of food and shopping options! There are actually quite a number of shops in the alleys which may be hidden from view on the main street so you gotta explore around. Tried some delicious food here as well (see my photos). Highly recommended... More

Visited Yizhong night market at 9 pm after visiting Feng Jia. Was surprised with the number of stalls and the crowd of people over here. This place is as busy as Feng Jia. If you are staying nearer to the railway station or far from Feng Jia, this market is comparable to Feng Jia. The clothes here seems more youthful... More

Most of us only know Feng Jia Night Market as the shopping destination in Taichung. Thought my Taiwan friends recommendation, We visited this area and realised it is just as good as Feng Jia. Plentiful of trendy clothes and even cheaper than a lot of other places. A place not to miss.
