This is one of my favorite places to spend time in the summer. Accessible by a local ferry, the island has a relaxed vibe and countless ruins and old bunkers to explore. Be sure to bring climbing shoes and a swimsuit!

the view is nice, sometimes you see buskers. Lots of tourists. Nice sunset but nothing much other than that except the ocean.

We stayed at 85 Sky Tower Hotel when we were in Kaohsiung and I took my early morning stroll from my hotel to the Love River, past the Peace Park, the Kaohsiung Museum, the Fisherman's Wharves, the Gushan Ferry Station and eventually reached the peak of Shaochuantou ((哨船頭) (where the British Consulate building is located) to enjoy a panoramic scenic... One of my least favorite attractions while in Taiwan. This is just an ordinary beach with views. Coming from Australia after being to wine glass bay, Byron beach and the great ocean road. This was rather boring and pointless. The beach itself was also very hard to navigate to. After walking through a university to try and find a beach... More

This is the beach inside the Chung Shan University campus. You have to pay a fee to enter. The water here is rather dirty as evinced by small oil slicks found on the sand. It is considered to be rather dangerous to swim here so the lifeguards patrol the beach and confine people into a small 30m area. You come... More

I love to come here, far from the maddening crowds; it is where Chung Shan (Dr Sun) University is located; the setting sun is most beautiful here; visitors who come here enjoy the spectacular sight of the sun that greet them with good night.

Sizihwan is a scenic area which provides good opportunities for taking photographs. Definitely worth a visit when in Kaohsiung.
