Taking the ferry to Chinchin Island is a must in Kaohsiung

Chinchin island, with its fresh seafood and nice strolls by the sea, is a must when visiting Kaohsiung. Ferry is 25NT by person (one way).

Frequency is good and the trip over to Cijin is fast. Fares are adult NT25, and an additional NT10 if you are bringing your bicycle over. Note that fares are one way!

Here you take a short 5 min boat trip to the Chichin Island. Adult one way is NT 25. Can see nice view of the harbor side.

Crowded with people and scooters. Need to prepare exact fare in cash (coins). Short trip. Ferry. How to rate it?

Short crossing, old ferry. The old fort and the market is interesting to see, I prefer to walk around then hire a tricycle to have a in depth looks of the town

Drive your scooter right on the ferry, it costs so little and you can eat a squid on a stick and go surfing on Cijin island (if you can find the swell) :)

The ferry itself is nothing special but watching all the scooters squeeze into and out of the bottom of the ferry is worth it. Good convenient way to get from A to B.

It is a ferry terminal which cater for passengers, cyclist and scooter riders. It is an experience for those who want to go to QiJing.

The ferry was not comfortable, but it was convenient to take it to a small island beside Kaohsiung. Qijing is full with seafood restaurant, and the sunset there is quite nice.
