The scenic area is beautiful. The beach is one of the most special ones I have ever seen, because it completely consists of various colorful rocks. The view is serene. There are a lot of cute wild dogs running around, but sadly you cannot pet them as they are scared of humans. I would hi there again, just to relax... More

The name means Seven Stars Lake but it's actually a pebble beach on the Pacific. Different types of rocks give blue, green, grey colors to the sea. Accessible by car.

We were here on our way to Taroko gorge, and spent few hours just hanging here. Nice ambient weather

We followed the tour from Wow Hostel. I guess the driver/guide really know how to avoid crowd, there is 7 of us from the tour, and it's nearly empty at the beach. Just some few local fishing, and a couple of other people. The sea, the stone, the sky, everything about this place is so beautiful. You can hear the... More

We are so much in love with this place and spend 1 hour here for siting on the rock beach and watching the blue wave.

Was drizzling when we were there with strong winds. Lovely scene but too cold! Worth a visit. Pity we were freezing and did not stroll along the bay!

You will notice that the beaches in Taiwan are often not for swimming. This one is no exception. In fact, this beach is quite dangerous if you are planning to go in the water. However, it has a great scenic area where you can observe the beautiful mountainous coastline of Hualien. Also, there is a mobile market and place to... More

We didn't have much expectation of this place since Taroko Gorge and Ching-Shui Cliff are more preferred locations based on the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised with how much we love this place. The beach is filled with pebbles and the cycling track was quiet and peacefully. Though it may not be an easy track due to the damages and... More

Visited one afternoon in November 2016 while on a day tour of the taroko gorge. Waves were pretty large when we got here and weather was chilly and windy. This is the Pacific Ocean from the eastern side of the world. Waves were dark Aqua in colour. Beach was pebbly. Didn't stay too long due to weather conditions.

local seem to like hanging out here but is a pebble beach (not sand), too dangerous too swim and no shade or special views. only interesting thing that may happen is seeing some Taiwan air force F16 jet fighters take off from the adjacent airbase with their top gun like thunderous jet roar
