Well known bridge in Taroko Gorge
Nov 2019
This bridge was named in memory of the engineer Jin Heng who was involved in its construction. Nowadays, it is mainly used by hordes of tourists visiting Taroko Gorge. Quite a nice bridge, but otherwise just a bridge.

Magnificent views from the Bridge

A little bit further inside from the Indian Chef head, there is a bridge. Standing on the bridge, magnificent views can be observed. I did not go in this deeply during my last September trip. It’s definitely a great idea to drive in further and explore all those awesome views on the bridge. Somehow similar to Fjord in Norway or Yosemite valley.

Just a bridge

Important bridge in Taroko National Park - very close to Eternal Spring shrine, you will cross it on the way from parking to the shrine.

It’s a bridge
Feb 2016 • Couples
Your tour bus will stop if you’re on a mindless tour from Taipei to Hualien. W stopped here for ten minutes to see the Eternal Springs Shrine and I wanted to take a closer look at the bridge since our tour guide wouldn’t allow us to go all the way to see the shrine. People were taking photos here. It’s actually a cool looking bride but that’s about it.

depends if you there for just the bridge or onto Eternal Spring Shrine

You must pass through this bridge to go to Eternal Spring Shrine. However, if you are here just to see the bridge, forget it really. If you are to go to Eternal Spring Shrine, take photos since you are here already. So really cannot rate this bridge alone.

Tour from Taipei to Hualien
This is a must- see on any road trip from Taipei to Hualien.

The views are breath-taking and mind boggling. And the history behind this bridge is also quite riveting. This attraction pulls the crowds evident by the hordes of tour buses of tourists.

The operators of the attraction take safety quite seriously - visitors must wear hard hats at all times while walking along and thru the area.

Take a leisurely stroll up to one or all three temples/ shrines that adorn the mountain side. We managed only the first and the views from here were just as breath-taking. So be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.

For you photo enthusiasts, be sure to have your smartphone or camera at your disposal as photo opportunities abound in this beautiful part of Taipei.
