Somebody says that night view of the city from this mountain is beautiful. So, I tried to climb after dark. But it was too dark, and nobody else was there. If you go there, do it during the day or early in the morning.

Beautiful park with quaint serene sections in the city. Was 15 mins walk from our hotel.
Cool weather with some sun made it a nice walk. Great to get some good views of the city and photo moments.
Playground for young children was nice and lively.
Good place to relax if you have a few hours to kill.

If you have spare time and want to visit a park in Hualien I suggest this one. There are views of the port and the city through the trees which is quite nice. You're able to walk for quite some time with nice quite pathways even on a Saturday afternoon. If you're keen on exercise there isn't quite so many areas for this, but a nice general walk around.

Very nice "mountain", nice views and exercise spots. Even interesting classes about nature. I like the quiet atmosphere in my backyard.

Sweet little city park here in Hualien. There are several nice shaded walking trails/pathways that wind through the park. An impressive temple and a martyr's shrine are located on the western slope of the park. Choose from mountain or ocean views - or both!
