We visited here for our main purpose. There are many antiques not only tiles. All things include house are important museum. They exhibit back of the tiles too and it makes manufacturers clear. At the up stairs you can watch the video of the process of making tiles. Well known staffs hide you and explain about history and special meaning of tiles. There are many furniture and goods are remain, I thought about old families life. Children were serious and faithful. Here is very small museum take care not to miss.

this old house had been a Wood store before, the roadway link the city center and Alishan. so you can still hear the train whistle in this place on am 8:30 the Alishan Forest train will pass by. the house 1 floor is museum,2 floor is hotel which have 2 rooms. Cypress truss and the smell show you the history on Chiayi. house keeps the old interior style in taiwan. museum is not big,display tiles. 1F's museum tiles shows the Taiwan architecture's decoration in 1915-1930. and the furniture is pretty ,too. location is near Chiayi train station(walk by 10mins), and visit needs to pre-reservation(or you can directly book the room)
