In the small fishing village of Hao Mei Li in Budai, these 3-D paintings on the walls of buildings and ground of temples and parks really surprised me. I wouldn't say that they are top art work but I do admire the artists dedication and creativity in painting these in a tiny village like this. To make the 3-D effect stands out, you do need to be a little silly and 'interact' with them. A fun couple of hours that we spent at this village.

There are actually quite a few paintings around the little village. There are also signs directly you where each of them are. There are also signs to where you should stand and to take the photos. Very interesting.

Small town with interesting murals...

A small little town along the West coast with various interesting murals. Worth a transit stop between counties.

Tip: Follow the painted footsteps on the road for a self-guided tour of all the murals.
