Me and my friend rented a tuk tuk here for 3 weeks and we have to say that everything went even better than expected. The state of tuk tuk, communication, help with any questions, driving lessons, organised pick up of tuk tuk so we could take a train from Kandy to Ella, the price... just perfect. If you are looking for the best way to discover Sri Lanka than look no further. Keep it up!

We rented our tuk-tuk for about 40 days. We had no problems whatsoever. Big thanks to Rocky, who was very kind and helpful, and always available for everything we needed. It was one of a kind road trip that we will treasure forever in our memories. Ayubowan!

I rented a tuktuk from pick and go for 40 days, and up from the beginning rocky was very helpful! No matter what happend, he was the guy to ask. Problems with my credit card? No problem, i was allowed to transfer the missing money when i was already on the trip. A crash with a buffalo? Rocky stays cool....Apart from that, my tuk-tuk was excellent, not many km on the clock, good breaks, everything clean, no hidden defects...And at the end when i returnd my now beloved vehicle, there have been no problems. We agreed a place in negombo to meet, Rocky was there and everything was ok. I was even allowed to leave my luggage at his house for the rest of the day so i was able to spent my last view hours in Sri Lanka on the beach without paying attention for my stuff.
Thank you Rocky!

They are very expensive compared with other companies, plus they will let you don't if the tuk tuk breaks down. And they will make you pay everything, when they say that anything happens on road it's on them. They were rood and very unprofessional, so if you want to save money and have a better service, book with other company.

We (3 people) rented a Tuk Tuk from Rocky for 12 days and drove 1.200 through the country without any problem. The vehicle was in very good shape and Rocky was also very fast replying to emails for organizing the details before our arrival. He also invited us over to his house for a BBQ before our departure and we had some Arrack with him ;-). Overall we were very satisfied, Rocky is a nice guy and I would definitely recommend to rent from him!

Having conducted some research online for tuk tuk rentals in Sri Lanka, ‘Rocky’ at Pick and Go responded with the best information and seemed the most professional out the 3 organisations I contacted.

Rocky helped to arrange my temporary driving license and insurance before I arrived in the country and this was definitely a huge help as it meant we could just pick up the tuk tuk promptly on the day we requested. His assistant took me on a test drive around the local area but having driven a tuk tuk before, this did not take long. However, I have no doubt that he would provide as much assistance as needed for the lesson/test drive if required, even if the customer had no experience.

We had a puncture on the first day whilst still in Negombo and although I could have sorted it myself, I rang Rocky and he turned up within 15 minutes to help me fix it. Whilst attempting to change the tyre, he discovered an issue with the wheel nuts and offered me a replacement tuk tuk without delay. This was delivered to my hotel later in the day and I cannot fault his efficiency and fast service in resolving the issue.

We had no other problems throughout the 3 week rental period and had such an amazing time driving around this stunning country. Rocky offers excellent service and I would highly recommend Pick & Go if you are looking for a motorbike or tuk tuk rental in Sri Lanka.

We chose for a stay at Pick & Go because we also rented a Tuktuk with the owner Rocky. Bad choice!!!

We informed Rocky that we would arrive late in the evening and he said no problem, but when we finally arrived the gate was closed and apparently his staff was sleeping. After the taxi driver called for us the staff came to let us in. Room is to basic for what you pay and also breakfast was not great.

The worst thing about Pick & Go was the Tuktuk we rented and how they handled our complaints. To sum it all up;

- at breakfast the staff was not aware that we rented a tuktuk from them and they were not prepared. The only tuktuk available had no petrol in it. It also was not in the best shape, with the backseat being torn open on one side. We also had the idea that we got a tuktuk from a local guy, because it didnt had any Pick &go stickers on it like we had seen online.

- on our first day of driving the petrol hose came of 3 times! Luckily some friendly locals managed to fix it! We informed Pick & go and they said; sometimes this happens.

- on our second day we noticed that the brake oil was below MINIMUM. I asked Pick & Go what to do and they responded; put oil!

- after we visited a repairshop to buy oil the mechanic told us that the breakpump is leaking and needs to be fixed ór we would need an extra bottle of oil with us. So far a good maintained Tuktuk Pick & go claims to deliver.

- after this I went through the papers of the tuktuk to see from which year it is. Pick&go advertised to us to deliver a tuktuk from 2016 or newer. I found out that ours was from 2012! (We already had such a feeling when we saw it the first time we got it, but being the only tuktuk left and willing to get on the road we took it without thinking twice. Won't do this again!)
I confronted Pick &go about the leaking breakpump and why we got a tuktuk from 2012. Pick & go responded; sorry, we will bring a new one tomorrow. I specifically added to please check if everything is working.

- To us a new tuktuk sounded good, but right after our first ride it failed on us. Going up a hill in Ella the tuktuk died. The battery was empty. Also the breakpump oil was below minimum, the handbrake was not working and one headlight was not working. I am pretty sure it also wasnt from 2016 or newer.
We contacted the Pick & Go staff again and told them we were totally unhappy! They said they were going to check if they could deliver another tuktuk, but kept us waiting with an answer for hours. I finally sent a message to the owner Rocky that his staff wasn't really doing its job. He responded that his staff will keep us posted and we agreed on renting a scooter for the time being.

- After we haven't heard for hours from the staff we suggested that if they need more time to fix a new tuktuk that they could also bring it to our next destination Kandy. Pick & go responded with a simple; ok, and that it will be at the trainstation when we arrive in kandy.

- after arriving in kandy we were greeted by a friendly man and our new tuktuk. He started with mentioning that the handbrake was not working. Also the breakoil was below MIN again. When we drove off I noticed that the tuktuk was pulling to the right and I had to use strength to keep it straight. Also shifting gears was nearly impossible because the handgrip was not mounted right. This let to serious dangerous situations and we almost were hit by a bus!

- after arriving at our guesthouse in Kandy we called the staff of pick & go again and also rocky. The staffed told us to figure this out asap and to call me back. For hours nothing happened! Also rocky did not respond to our messages. Finally I set them an ultimatum; either give us a refund for the remaining days or give us the tuktuk we had on day 1, since this was the one with the least problems. They chose to bring us the 'old tuktuk' the next day and they added that this was the last time and that we were the only ones complaining. Also he said that he learned me how to drive so I am obviously was doing something wrong. Well, I a not the one who isn't doing any maintainance to his tuktuks!
The guy who picked up the bad tuktuk asked what was wrong with it and after I told him that it is pulling to the right and it is not shifting gears, he replied; that's all??
So far for road safety at Pick & go!

- the morning we returned our tuktuk to Pick & Go we were simply silenced to death. The staff member calculated our made costs and went on talking on the phone for a couple of minutes. After a couple of minutes he litteraly threw our deposit and refund on the desk. We got our money and left, because we already found out that these people are not worth talking to as they don't care about customer satisfaction.

When we left we saw multiple tuktuks on the lot and some of them looked really new and had Pick&go stickers on them. I would suggest NEVER to hire from Pick & Go but if you do, make sure you get one of these newer tuktuks.

My girlfriend and I rented a tuk tuk for 12 days and enjoy all our trip. We did about 850km total and have no problems with the tuk tuk. It was in perfect conditions and never broke. Rocky prepared the paper to travel in Sri Lanka before our arrival so when we arrived after a short lesson were ready to go.
We have no need to contact him during our 12 days of rental but I m sure if needed hd will have helped us in a short time.
Dont hesitate to rent tuk tuks, quads, bikes, scooters or bicycles with Rocky !
Highly recommended.
Ah... he also have a guest house if you need any room while in Negombo.
Keep it up Rocky !

We rent a tuktuk from Rocky for our whole Sri Lanka Tour. We paid 55.000 LKR for 18 days and we had a lot of fun with the tuktuk. We were so glad to drive on our own, stop were we want, see many roads a tourist wouldn't have seen otherwise. The tuktuk did a great job, we drove 1500 km and we just had to refil air in one tyre once a time. Rocky and his team were really helpfully and lovely. He arranged the Sri Lankan driving lisence for us and he was always available. We highly recommend pick and go!!

We rented a tuktuk and drove around Sri Lanka for 9 days. It was such a great experience to drive around by yourself and stop at all the beautiful places. Rocky arranged our AAC permit - which we needed to drive the tuktuk legally - and gave us a driving lesson to get used to the tuktuk. Once we got used to driving the tuktuk, we loved it and I would really recommend it to anyone to explore Sri Lanka by tuktuk!! It's priceless to see the faces of the locals when they see you driving a tuktuk :-)
