We rented our tuk-tuk for about 40 days. We had no problems whatsoever. Big thanks to Rocky, who was very kind and helpful, and always available for everything we needed. It was one of a kind road trip that we will treasure forever in our memories. Ayubowan!

Firstly, we had a great time hence the three stars. But I decided on this tour because it was advertised as off road. THE ADVERTISED OFF ROAD RIDE We did zero off road, other than the dirt tracks to get to and from our accommodation. This was a major disappointment. THE BIKES I was in a group of six. Four paying riders and two guides (who were great). Every bike broke down on tour more than once. Some multiple times. There were occasions when some of our group were required to ride without a light on busy roads in the dark. We estimated about 8 hours total was spent on the roadside. ACCOMMODATION The accommodation ranged from very average (which I expected considering how cheap it was $1100US) to great. No real complaints there. THE ROUTE The route changed dramatically from what was advertised, and the original included sites mostly disappeared except for the safari (which was great) and maybe a couple of others. PAYMENT You can’t pay with eftpos, which proved a blessing, because we were only able to pay half up front due to restraints on what cash we could withdraw from the ATM prior to departure. On return we pointed out a number of things and negotiated a reduced price. BOTTOM LINE Ensure you communicate clearly with Rocky (lovely bloke and owner) about the route and expectations re the bike. Manage your expectations. Things work differently in Sri Lanka, which is part of the appeal, but also a trap if you expect perfection on a budget trip.

Rocky and his family made our group feel most welcome. We hired 8 Tuk Tuks for 12 days. Our International Driving Licence arranged in the UK and the Local driving licence arranged by Pick and Go. The insurance we opted for was the VIP no quibble service although thankfully we did not have to put this to the test. On arrival our paperwork was waiting and the group were given tuition to drive the Tuk Tuks. We had a great 12 days driving through a lot of the country and the Tuk Tuks went well and were great fun. We would definitely use this company again.
