We went on a short 5-day trip to Sri Lanka, and our friends recommended we hire Nuwan's services as a guide and driver as they had used him in the past. And were we glad we did! Nuwan was prompt, friendly and catered to all our needs. He gave us a lot of info about Sri Lankan culture and history that we would have missed, and recommended places for us to visit basis our interests. He gave us insight into Sri Lankan way of living through his personal stories.
Nuwan was very perceptive in the sense that when he should speak and when he should let us be. Never insistent, but always providing enough information, he helped us make decisions on how to spend our days there. He was very adaptable to our "changes of mind". Whether it was eating places or sight seeing points, or a scuba diving school, he took us to places where we felt comfortable.
He obviously has a good network in Sri Lanka, because one of the days that he himself wasn't available (we had been informed in advance), he arranged another driver for us who was also reliable.
Highly recommended for all those visiting Sri Lanka - get in touch with Nuwan and arrange your transport and guide with him!

Our party of five were collected by Ansar Foray at our villa in Ahangama. We had booked an 8 day tour of cultural and nature sites. Ansar drove a very comfortable and clean seven seater, air-conditioned vehicle. We visited twelve cultural sites and a national park with elephants (which was excellent, lots of elephants). We learned a vast amount about Buddhism and the national cuisine at a cookery class. Ansar is extremely knowledgeable and whatever we asked of him, he was always happy to oblige. He had knowledge of things off the beaten track, which was a fabulous bonus. We completely trusted his judgement. Ansar actually became a friend, due to his very happy disposition, helpfulness and natural courtesy. He even arranged a surprise birthday party a restaurant, for one of our group, complete with a birthday cake. It was very sweet of him to do this. Ansar also had a wealth of knowledge for hotels and villas in which to stay. We had such a great time, and laughed alot throughout our time with him. He is also a very careful driver and felt safe at all times. I will have no hesitation in recommending the company to family and friends. If you want a stress free visit to this beautiful country and it's friendly people, then look no further. And if you're worried about the cost for a driver and guide, then you'll be pleasantly surprised at how affordable it is.

We contacted Lanka Excursion Holidays to arrange a ten day driver to take us round Sri Lanka as part of out trip.
We wanted to arrange our own accommodation but have a driver to be on hand.
We could not have been luckier with the amazing driver we had in Ansar.
Ansar understood immediately that we wanted to take an easy pace visiting places off the tourist trail.
Ansar had a brilliant sense of humour and was really good company. He took us to small remote restaurants that we would never have found where we ate the most delicious Sri Lankan food.
His knowledge of culture and local history interjecting useful and fascinating information whilst always being discrete and respectful of our space was masterly to the level of diplomatic.
We were often spontaneous with our plans, deciding to visit places on a whim or change times at short notice, Ansar was always accommodation often suggestion options to visit multiple sites by changing the order to maximise the time.
We were very lucky to celebrate two birthdays on our trip and Ansar arranged a special restaurant with a great menu, cake and a firework spectacular.
Truly memorable.
As seasoned travellers we were weary of arranging a driver to escort us on our trip but as we reached the end of our travels we all agreed the whole experience was a Stella success enhanced by Ansar to make this trip truly outstanding. Sri Lanka is now in our hearts and we will definitely be back and make sure we call Lanka Excursion Holidays the minute we book the flights.

Everyone should do this tour!
Mihintale is a wonderfull city with many impressive places. Our perfectly organized guide Rangan showed us the main sights like the Stupa and Mihintales highest mountain. Also he showed us less popular places that were even prettier and had a great view over the whole city. We could have lunch which was cooked by his mother, it was traditionally and really delicious. Rangan, speaks good English and can give you interesting and relevant information about the sights, actually about the whole city. He is very friendly and helpful, also he grew up in Mihintale so he knows a lot of secret spots and is happy to show them to you. To some spots you have to take many stairs, which isn't always that easy, but absolutely worth it! Views like these you have only few times in your life. Also guides like these are rare, so take your chance and book the tour. My friend and I had an amazing day and recommend that tour to absolutely everyone! It is worth every penny. And it is super easy to plan it. Just text Nuwar and he will organize one of the best days of your whole trip. Also he and his guides are very flexible and spontaneous. We are not only happy to had this tour, but to met such great people who made Sri Lanka even prettier.

If you are looking for a place which is out of daily hustle of the city and love to be with tranquilizing nature then 'First house' in Mihintale is the one you need. Hosted by Nuwan a modest man who is well experienced in tourism industry and is ready to extend all possible help to plan your trip. His mother a very soft spoken lady, great cook and takes all the pain happily to maintain all house and premise. Rohan, Nuwan elder brother a real kind hearted person who always spare some time from his busy schedule to make your smooth visits to all nearby tourist attractions with 'Rangana' by his side. Rangana is well behaved and has articulated the best tourist guide in his tuk tuk ride.
Having hot Sri Lankan breakfast in the varandha whilst watching and listening to the chirps of all the birds around makes me relive my best memories.
Even, I was fortunate to attend Rohan's family function and short tour for wild life watching.
For me the First house will be certain place in the next Sri Lankan visit to meet my buddy Nuwan, Rohan & Loving Amma
Having hot Sri Lankan breakfast in the varandha whilst watching and listening to the chirps of all the birds around makes me relive my best memories.
Even, I was fortunate to attend Rohan's family function and short tour for wild life watching.

Just back after a short trip which was made super by Nuwan. Started with warm welcome at the airport with beautiful floral garlands. He is an excellent guide with knowledge of local history and customs. He knows the best places to visit, views, beaches, boat rides and food. His van is very well maintained and he's one of the safest drivers I have travelled with. Our family enjoyed seeing SriLanka with him and will come back again to visit other places.

We stumbled across this company whilst in Sri Lanka with the objective of discovering the best way to get to Delft Island. From the moment we got in contact with this company, Newan was unbelievably helpful. On very short notice, he arranged a 2 hour transfer to and from the boat pick up point and on even shorter notice, a speed boat. we were unfortunately directed onto the wrong boat by locals at the port, which took is to the wrong island. Be aware that if you miss the first boat, it will be nearly impossible to get to the island that day for free. At this point, Newan sprung to action and helped us get there via a private boat. I will say that although the boat was more expensive, certainly when considering the transfer should have been free, it was much faster and a lot more fun! I would not recommend if you have a bad back!
When we arrived at the island, we were given a 3 hour Tuk Tuk tour of the island that was completely worth it (all arranged by the company); we were then taken for a lunch at a place called ‘village stay’. The curries offered were fantastic and we were also given some complimentary beers and water through the company.
At this point we made our way back home, having all the transport pre-arranged was incredibly helpful.
I would highly recommend this service, it was completely worth the price.

Excellent driver, always followed Covid-19 guidelines.

We discovered Nuwan’s company online and were really impressed with the detailed knowledge about Sri Lanka and itineraries available. Unfortunately Nuwan was not available for our dates but he found us an amazing driver (Alex) so we were really happy. We also managed to meet Nuwan in Kandy for a drinks and dinner as we were there at the same time! We couldn’t fault the service at all - Nuwan a total professional, and Alex great.
For the actual trip - we are a family of four - two adults and two teenage boys (15 and 17) and we loved Sri Lanka. We worked on the itinerary with Nuwan and tweaked it as we went along with Alex. The first week we did lots of activities (hiking, walking, zip lines, temples, tea factories, spice gardens etc) and second week more beach and relaxation. It was perfect.
Nuwan’s company made you feel part of a family as opposed to just another group of tourists on a tour. I would highly recommend.

Nuwan has been my trusted guide who also provides me with airport pick up services every time I land in Sri Lanka. My flights (from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) always land around midnight. He is always on time waiting for me and takes me safely to my family home. My family too does not worry about my safety as we all trust him. Trust is something built over time and with Nuwan, he has earned it.
I first engaged Nuwan’s services when another horrible guide left me and my family stranded at Sigiriya. It was he who came to our rescue and this was 5 years ago. Since then, I have returned many times to Sri Lanka for short trips to visit my family and I have only engaged his services as it is always reliable.
During my recent visit to Sri Lanka, I was wheelchair bound and he patiently waited for me and was very concerned of my situation. I have travelled the world but I have yet to meet a guide who is at par with Nuwan.
