I had a nice time out on the boat. It is covered, so you don't have to be in the sun. It was nice to see the whole fishing village and the fish market. I expected to just walk off the pier and get on a boat, but Deni's boat is in the midst of lots of local fishermen, so it has a lot of atmosphere. I would highly recommend going out for the day. The cost is good and you should catch something. The boat did not rock too much and there was a whole crew there. He does all he can to make sure you are comfortable. Enjoy it!

I wanted to do some Deep sea fishing in Negombo and chose Wicky Game Fishing for their professional yet personalized approach. The owner of the boat "Samantha Gale " himself came to pick me up from my hotel at 5am on 20/02/2018 and after completing the harbour formalities we were off with his Skipper and crewhand. He laid out 5 trolling lines of tough rod reel sets of Penn and Shimano and all credit at his skill in not letting the lines get entangled on a fairly rough sea. It was indeed a very adventerous trip on the high seas with his trawler riding the waves and the inboard engine capably providing enough power as required. We did manage to get two small sized Tunas but it was well worth the fishing. The owner Mr. Wickremsinghe (hope I spelled that right) is a very passionate fisherman with a great knowledge of the local sea conditions at Negombo and being a much well travelled person very nice company to discuss various topics.... I would love to do this trip again with him soon..

Had a nice morning fishing on the only big charter boat around Negombo. I guess not the richest fishing grounds in Sri Lanka but you can surely catch some nice fish. The whole boat can be chartered for 250 dollar/5 to 6 hours fishing. I got a barracuda and a reef fish, but there is definitely good Spanish mackerel and tuna around as well. Nice to be out on the water again after dozens of temples!
