Fantastic experience

To arrange our 12 day Sri Lankan tour for 4 adults I contacted several companies with a few requirements and some places we wanted to visit and asked thecompanies to fill in the itinerary . Chamila got back within hours with a detailed itinerary and a very economical costing. He included photos of the air conditioned van and 2 suggested hotels for each stop. The hotels fitted our requirement of local 3/4 star hotels. Communication with Chamila was always promptly returned and always flexible and willing to make changes as I researched more about SL. My friends and colleagues were always sceptical of the economical price but were proven wrong by the high quality of the tour that eventuated.
We were met at the airport by the charming Chamara who proved to be an excellent driver and guide. He soon learnt our abilities and likes and suggested changes to the itinerary accordingly. All suggested changes were perfect. Chamara was a very safe driver even under difficult conditions. The air con van was spacious and Chamara always had it sparking clean when we entered.The tours and safaris organised were excellent. Chamara was very in tune to our needs suggesting massages after a strenuous walk and breaks in the day to avoid tiredness or heat. We are all in our 60’s. My husband had his 68th birthday on the tour and Chamara arranged a birthday cake to be delivered whilst on safari. It was so special and so touching.
The hotels were all good and fitted our requirement to support local business. Most had a beautiful pool area which was very welcomed at end of the day. We sometimes ate at the hotel or Charama drove us to the local town . The choice was always ours with recommendations from Chamara always proving good.
I would highly recommend Chamila tours. The professionalism of the company and our driver / guide , Chamara made our Sri Lankan tour an unforgettable experience. Thank you. It was wonderful !
Just a suggestion- wear socks to the temples as the ground can get very hot.

12 day tour round trip from Colombo to central and southern Sri Lanka for 4 people

Our tour guide Chamara was unfailingly gentle, helpful, courteous, clean and punctual. Always safe as a driver, and had sensitive suggestions for activities, food, and bathroom stops. The vehicle was spotless, and comfortable. He was also a sensitive tutor through local customs. Highly recommended.

The company, Chamila, made service a priority. Every query responded to quickly, made the composition of our itinerary effortless, and their advice when requested was always sound. Highly recommended.

Amazing guide

We spent 1 week with Hashen, as Chamilah was not available. It was the first time I had a driver for a trip.

He recommended the best places and Sri authentic experiences Sri Lanka according to our objectives. He booked for us in advance our train tickets to Ella. Managed to arrange quality tours with guides and told us the price in advance so that we were prepared and not surprised. He also suggested and booked a traditional dance show from Kandy and placed us in the first row, which was really worth it. The spectacle was amazing.

As a seasoned guide, he knows exactly where to bring us and when to assist us if help is needed or if something is missing in our planning.

Overall we were very happy with the experience and I strongly recommend Hashen if you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka.

Best 12 day tour with the best driver in the world!

We decided to take a 12 day tour with Chamila tours because of the good reviews and because of the very fair price. When traveling with little kids (2 and 6), there are a lot of things that can go wrong, but with our amazing driver Hashen, not one thing was a problem!

From the moment he picked us up at the airport, he was smiling and throughout the tour, which was organized perfectly, he was always energetic, nice, helpful, sooooo good with the kids and so knowledgable!

We saw and have learnt so many things because of Hashen, that I can not describe with words. The whole tour was to the point. Not even the littlest thing went wrong. Hashen took care of everything from hotels, entries, places to eat,... He even took the baby seat from the car to take to both safaris. He nade sure that we were always comfortable and also had a lot of fun.

When I read the reviews before our trip, I was sceptical, because nothing is ever so amazing. Well, this is!I truly wholeheartedly recommend this agency to anyone in the world! You are in for the time of your life!

Thank you Chamila tours and Hashen for this amazing experience! Our kids cried for Hashen when he was not with us 😁

Great tour and driver 💫

We used the services of Chamila Tours. Hashen was our driver. Briefly: 10/10: the best price offer among others drivers recommended on FB groups, Hashen is not only a driver but also a good guide, thanks to him - we saved a lot of time. He often exceeded our needs by organizing the smallest details (currency exchange, drinks, toilets). He can advise, recommend changing plans, knowing the distances and topography of the area/place. He is always available and always coming at the right moment. He drives safely and assertively :)! The car was really comfortable and had a lot of space for legs 🙂 We recommend for everyone who wants to have good driver & local guardian in one person, who is not imposing his ideas and plans.

Excellent 4 day tour of Sri Lanka

I contacted Chamila Tours before travelling to arrange a tour. I wanted a reliable and safe tour company as I was a female travelling alone. I advised what I wanted to see and Chamila made suggestions and put together a four day itinerary. Everything was as planned, all the entrance fees, local guides, transport and accommodation was included. The driver Amila was a gentleman throughout and provided local information. The car was clean and comfortable with air conditioning. All the hotels had comfortable beds, good views and a nice breakfast. I would highly recommend Chamila Tours and if I'm lucky enough to visit this beautiful country again I would definitely be using them again.

During our stay in Sri Lanka we used the tourist agency Chamila Tours from Negombo. We can highly recommend their services as fully professional.
At Chamila Tours, the stay program can be flexibly adapted to your needs, from pickup from the airport to the final transfer to the airport.
We were on a 4-day tour of Sri Lanka with a guide-driver Chamara. He was very nice, smiling and polite. Great and safe driver! During the whole trip we always felt safe and comfortable with him. Our guide patiently answered our questions and fulfilled our requests.
Which is very important - all Chamila Tours staff were always very punctual !!!
During our last transfer to the airport, the owner of the office, Mr. Chamila Chrisantha, accompanied us personally and said goodbye.

On our next trip to Sri Lanka we will definitely use again the offer of Chamila Tours.
This is a reliable company.

Gorgeous time in Sri Lanka!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful trip with Chamila Tours. Our English speaking driver Harshana made us feel safe and comfortable in his car. By the way, he is a great photographer too! He provided us with interesting and useful information about Sri Lanka, showed magnificent destinations, plunged into the atmosphere of local life and never let us get bored. He was always looking after us during the trip and making sure we were happy and satisfied. Everything was well organized and appealing. We would highly recommend Chamila Tours and an amazing driver Harshana to everyone! Thank you!!!

Trip not possible without Chamila Tours! Highly recommended!

Before the trip we reached out to other tour guides and found Chamila to be very responsive and considerate around the tour programme providing lots of information. We reached SL just before the recent issues fully developed. However things changed quickly but our guide, Shanoi, was the hero of the holiday.

His main concern was our safety and ensuring we made the best of our time in SL and got the most out of the holiday given the situation. He was flexible, adaptable and always on the front foot being proactive finding out the latest situation in each area and getting us to our next destination. His knowledge, network and connections of other guides, hotel staff, rail staff and landmark/venue staff meant we really got the most out of the trip and covered off as much as possible notwithstanding how quickly the situation evolved. Even with the unprecedented situation Shanoi stayed positive and always kept us laughing with his jokes - something we needed!

We usually do not use guides on holiday however found that we maximised our time out there and fit alot into our schedule. I would advise using a guide/driver to get the most out of the trip. Highly recommended and without Chamila Tours, given the situation we found ourselves in, we may not have had such a brilliant holiday!

Hasslefree trip through Sri Lanka

We contacted Chamilla Tours via Web to organize a trip through Sri Lanka for us. This tour was based on their experience and our wishes. The communication was easy and straight forward. Even our extra wishes, like pick-up at airport at 4 am and extending our tour by 1 day were immediately considered.

Chamilla Tours organized a driver, all hotels and booked the attractions. The offered package had an excellent value for money. As agreed we paid half of the price at the beginning and the rest at the end of the trip.

At the beginning we were picked up by Amila from the airport. The car was nice and clean. Water was provided as well. Amila drove us safely through Sri Lanka. Even if we wanted an additional stop this was no problem. (one coconut stop per day was a must:-)

We highly recommend booking a tour through Sri Lanka with Chamilla Tours. After this tour, we are eager to explore other parts of Sri Lanka. Hopefully we will see each other again soon.
