We had a group of 15 including kids varing from age 6-18 years. There were kids who were not that good at cyling too. But with the help of super guidence everyone managed to complete 12km ride wihtout any complecations. We took the evening tour and with the breeze it wasn't tiring also. Everyone really enjoed the tour.

I was staying Ahangama with my family and wanted to go on a decent ride around the countryside. This team arranged everything, including a first class outrider. Beautiful scenery, great route, loads of peacocks. Would recommend for any amateur cyclists bored of their pool villa and in need of some exercise.

A really enjoyable afternoon exploring the countryside near Unawatuna. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the scenery is beautiful. We saw plenty of wildlife, including birds and monitor lizards, as well as visiting some interesting local sites. Would highly recommend if you’re in Galle or Unawatuna and have an afternoon to spare.

The cycle route is easy on the legs and well worth the experience.

We were a group of 7 excluding our wonderful guide. (Of which 2 where over 60 and one of them very rarely exercise and he still managed the route with ease) and 1 was under two. All managed to get on well and enjoy the tour.

The route is nicely laid out, we started on some local roads through houses and then went onto a dirt path through some fields. It was very relaxing.

Our guide was very charismatic and a great story teller. We stopped at a variety of places and learned a lot about the local culture, people and history of Galle. In between the planned stops we also had unscheduled stops when he spotted something of interest to point out to us, like the animal life or local fishermen etc.

During our tour one of the bikes wasn’t working properly and it was replaced within a few minutest. Amazing service!

Water and bananas were provided for us before and after the tour. Very friendly and caring people. They even arrange tuktuks to take us back to or accommodation afterwards so we didn’t have to wave down down.

Highly recommend, lots of fun and everyone can do it! Worth the cost.

Our family of 2 adults and 3 children aged 7,9,11 absolutely loved this cycling tour. It was very hot when we were there, so we opted for the shorter 2 hour cycling tour which was perfect. Upon arrival we were all safely fitted with appropriate biked and helmets, and all adjusted to fit. Two boys who were very knowledgeable and super friendly then took us through paddy fields and mangroves and villages. We saw a lot of areas and villages recovering from the 2004 tsunami. It was moving and enjoyable. They constantly checked to see if the pace was good, and were super safe. Highly recommended.

Neither of us are regular cyclists and were somewhat worried about having to cycle on the roads - the driving is interesting!! However, there was no need to worry, we were joined by another couple similarly anxious and our guide was a joy. In fact we even had another member of staff bringing up the rear. The pace was leisurely, mostly on the flat, with lots of stops to point out interesting features, time on the main road was limited and we were soon within Galle Fort - which is a fabulous place. We were treated to king coconut and ice cream amongst other delights. We meandered our way back via markets and country roads. The morning flew by and we were sorry it was all over too soon.

I took the trip that goes to the jungle, it was peaceful, fun, and the guide was just excellent. I think is the best way to know the area specially for those who goes to Galle looking for away of the traffic and touristy areas.
Chamera was the best company I found, they were very friendly and easy going, totally recommended!

Can't add to what has already been said. Seeing some of the working conditions you see makes you feel very lucky. Chameera is passionate about his country and its culture and happy to talk about anything. We had a private tour for 4 hours and it was one of the best experiences we had in Sri Lanka.

This is a lovely way to spend 3 hours seeing village life around the east side of Galle. It's at a gentle pace, with plenty of stopping and photo opportunities of the villagers.

Chameera picks you up from your hotel in his tuk tuk and takes you back to his house to collect the bikes and start the tour.

We choose the lagoon tour. This takes you down back lanes, along a lagoon, and through a village two.

I think the locals know him well, as they happily pop up when he's in sight, and do their bit.

You should see :

1. A fisherman wading through a river, bottom picking clams and oysters

2. A widow of the tsunami demonstrating how to net for prawns.

3. A cottage industry husking coconuts and turning then into string. Run by the traditional village folk, most of who seem to be in their 70s. It's a fading industry

4. A temple.

Summary - it's a gentle, pleasant way to spend 3 hours. All bikes and equipment are provided.

Cost per person is Rp2000. Small kids are half price.

Chameera escorted us on a great cycling tour around his village , lagoon, rivers, coconut factory and we even stopped at a roadside stall where we sampled bananas, sweets and had a coconut drink. Chameera was so knowledgable about all the fauna and wildlife we saw too. It was an extremely hot and sticky day which I was abit worried about but no problem as water is supplied and we took our time cycling. The bikes were great and comfortable too. A great few hours, so glad we chose his tour.
