Given very short planning time frame, Sri Lanka Dream Tours was very prompt in acceding to all our requests, proposed and executed the itinerary very well. Tour guide/driver was very professional and covered many highlights of Sri Lanka. Highly recommended to work with them to customise the perfect Sri Lanka holiday.

It is our pleasure to provide a review for Dream Tours. We spent 17 nights on two separate tours in August 2024 with Dream Tours. We travelled with family members extensively across the country from Colombo to Jaffna down through the highlands and back to Galle. We always felt safe and secure on our tour. Our guide and driver were knowledgeable and professional throughout. The vehicle was in good condition and entirely suitable for our family group.
The tour took extensive organisation and much tooing and froing - I had many questions and lots of ideas. Chaminda was excellent in helping me design a tour that achieved what we most wanted to and provided sensible advice and guidance. A very knowledgeable and patient person! Thank you!
We renewed our marriage vows in Galle with our children, thanks largely to Chaminda and Sampath who organised it with the local Cathedral. It was a very special occasion for our family which was organised by Dream Tours with no prior notice.
Overall the accommodation was good but a few disappointments along the way which we raised with the Company and they tried to address. Would highly recommend Dream Tours to other travellers and we will use them again when we return.

We booked a taxi service and we're fully satisfied - got picked up at 3am in the morning, driving safely to the airport with a shirt refreshing stop.
We could sleep and talk to get a lot of insights about Sri Lanka we did not have before (e.g. politics, economy etc.).
And the prices are very competitive - there is no better offer!

We have just returned from our trip to Sri Lanka. We booked an extremely last minute 10-day travel over New Years, the peak season for tourists. Very lucky to have found Rasanka, who runs Sri Lankan Dream Tours (srilankandreamtours@gmail.com)!
One day before arriving in Colombo, I contacted him via Whatsapp and email, and he was very prompt and helpful. He arranged a driver to take us around for the whole trip, made very helpful itinerary suggestions (and was equally helpful when I declined some of these), and also helped us with hotel / safari / hot air balloon bookings - on these especially, he always made sure we got a good price (which we could check vs. published prices online). Even as we made changes to our itinerary while travelling, he was always accommodating and offered his help throughout.
Special mention also to our driver Chandana, who is a really honest and reliable guy. He took care of us from the first day of pick-up to the final drop-off, drove us safely around Sri Lanka, cleaned the car everyday for our comfort, and made sure our travels went as smoothly as possible!
Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with lots to do. We went up to Sigiriya and Dambulla, before going through Nuwara Eliya and Ella, and stopped at Udawalawe for an elephant safari. We finished off at the Southern coast, including beautiful Galle, to relax at the beaches.
We had a fantastic time (although maybe we chose to do too much in such a short time), and to pull it off so last minute and flawlessly, we are really glad to have the service of Rasanka and Chandana. Will definitely engage them again when we return to Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Dream Tours is the best tour operator in Sri Lanka which I found this time to travel to Sri Lanka. In future always I`ll choose them if I travel to Sri Lanka. Because they gave us the unforgettable service & experience which we never expected that world class from a tour company. It was exceptional value for the money which we paid. We had a great welcome at the airport and until our departure their service was fabulous for us. They never put us down by any mean. I recommend S L Dream Tours for all the travelers in worldwide who wish to visit Sri Lanka.

We booked a 14-day trip covering island with Sri Lanka Dream Tours. Chanaka was really helpful to us to change the Itinerary our need. Thanks him. He was excellent with Tour Itineraries. I felt he has great knowledge all in Sri Lanka. The Driver Guide gave us a lot of interesting information about every place we have visited.
The car was Luxurious, Water complimentary every day. We had lots of options regarding Hotels. Chanaka told us he can book any hotel in Sri Lanka, Like Homestays to 5** Hotels. All good Hotels we stayed 3**. It is obvious that Sri LankaDream Tours know, what they are doing and how much good at it, I can only recommend. Thank you very much Chanaka& all in S L Dream Tours. I met Mr Indika at his father's shop in Goviyapana, such a nice guy and excellent English. He arranged a three day tour to Kandy for me. The tour was amazing, great places to stay and extremely helpful if I need anything! I would recommend these guys to everyone!

It was the best thing we did during our whole trip in Sri Lanka! We learnt so much about Sri Lankan cooking and had such a fun time with Sampath. Couldn’t recommend it more!
The food was absolutely delicious, we loved visiting the local markets and we can’t wait to try out all the recipes from the book when we’re home.

Chef Sampath picked us up from our hotel..and bought a few ingredients with us.This was followed by a tuk tuk ride to his old village style kitchen...! Then he served us an amazing refreshing drink, gave us fresh aprons, and his magic recipe book! then what followed was divine for all oursenses- the smell of pandan leaves, the sparkling sound of onion garlic simmering in the oil, beauty of the way he cut the beans and finally the amazing taste of all the 4 dishes we made together.
+ves- everything...he lets u make the food, he gives u insight of cooking history and he also gives u wonderful cooking tips
-ves- none as such...apart from the fact that the whole cooking thing takes about 1.5 hrs so make sure u have the energy to be on ur toes... but Chef sampath was sweet enough to let us rest and watch..when we said we were tired.
Chef Sampath is restoring his organic garden...once up and running it will be an icing on the cake!

Could you kindly advise on what that means. We are looking to do a 21 day tour because it spends multi days in one location. We are in our mid 70's; even then we are fairly sprightly. I can't see the link, however if you are dealing with Rasanka, it should be the same company I used.
We took 10 days to go to a number of places, and yes it was pretty hectic. Where are you planning to go over the 21 days?
A few thoughts from me...
1) The tour company has excellent service (the fee covers the car, driver, unlimited distance, wherever you want to go), however I would advise you to do more self-planning and create an itinerary that suits your needs, which they will then happily execute. There was one day where I realised the plan I provided them required us to drive 5-6h - the company didnt raise this as an issue but I quickly altered the itinerary to split up the journey for my own travel comfort.
2) We easily spent 2-4h a day on the roads travelling between places. Google Maps is pretty helpful to tell you how long the drive will take, but add another 30-60minutes as the roads in Sri Lanka are typically single-lane and a lot of buses and tuktuks ply them.
3) I personally didn't enjoy much of the towns (Dambulla / Kandy / Colombo / Unawatuna etc), except for Galle which was lovely. If I had the time, I would also spend more of it in Hortons Plains and in the central highlands area - the air up there was fresh and scenery beautiful. Best if you're a nature lover. There are also a lot of beaches on the coast - we enjoyed Tangalle as it was quieter and less cluttered - and also we found a nice quiet resort that suited us well. Again it depends on the type of holiday you enjoy.
