The fairy tale village is pretty close to Incheon's bustling Chinatown. The walls of the neighborhood include some murals and decoration based on bedtime stories. Not particularly interesting for me and the paintings look a bit old-fashioned.

This fairy tale town is right next to the China town in Incheon. So after looking around China town, you can reach the Fairy tale town within 5 min on foot.
There are so many photo zones that you can take a picture with your kids or lover.
You can get more tourist information on Incheon on my blog.

The fairytale village is where fairytales seem to come alive! Absolutely beautiful mural art and lots of photo opportunities!
It’s a perfect day trip from Seoul -- simply take the subway line 1 to Incheon subway station (about 75mins ride from Seoul Station), head out of exit 2, go straight for 200m and turn right to reach the village. Alternatively, you can also explore Chinatown first, which is opposite Exit 3. The village is located at the end of Chinatown.
While in Incheon, you can also visit the nearby Sinpo market which takes about 15mins on foot from Chinatown. Highly recommend to visit Incheon as a day trip from Seoul!

Songwoldong Fairy Tale Village is a few blocks of streets decorated with murals depicting some popular fairy tale characters with a good portion of them violating copyrights. With cars parked along the streets, a good portion of the murals are blocked. There are a handful of okay photo spots but the entire area just looks tacky.

This place is near the Incheon airport, and most tour group will swing by. Good for photography but nothing much. It's also very close to Chinatown. Half an hour is sufficient.

Super funny place just next to Chinatown!
You can walk around and buy some cheap snacks.
The children will love the fairy-style houses, restaurants, shops...there even are some parades in summer!

I took my fiancé here and she absolutely loved it. There were so many great animation themes (Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, etc.) we took at least 50 pictures and we got a great laugh each time. Your girlfriend or wife would love it. Even the homes and fences have animation themes painted on them. On top of that, it's very close to Chinatown and a 10-minute walk away from Incheon Station.

A very romantic place to enjoy characters of different houses. Need to spend at least 2-3 hours to thoroughly enjoy. The up and down hill of the village reminds me of San Francisco. What a joyful walk by evening!

Had almost half a day free due to our airbnb not ready yet due to someone checked in the night before.. Since we had a few hours and our first time in Seoul, decided to ask the information counter at the airport. With my basic Korean and hand gestures (as the English speaker staff wasn't at the counter) we were given options and asked if we wanna check this place out but its about 40mins away .. Since we had nothing to loose and were in a very adventurous mood. We agreed and asked around for bus direction and reloaded out Tmoney card and off we went exploring.
after about 40mins bus fried and 2 stops train ride we were right in form of Chinatown a different post.
Once arrived we can walk thru a small part of Chinatown to reach this area or walk form the opposite side to reach the area first. The area is small but very pack with a lot of things to see .. Definitely a lot of photo opportunity. The younger ones will have a lot of fun pointing out the famous characters of their favorite cartoon characters and even the young-at-heart adults will have a blast figuring out and matching the drawing/architecture/figurines to their childhood cartoons. Hubby and i definitely had fun .. Shopping is relative expensive for our opinion, but lots of interesting drinks and desserts to try out. We tried a strawberry Beer and we like it a mixture of strawberry slushy with tap beer... Yums and refreshing... anyways for food.. make sure to head to the Chinatown as more options and interesting.
TIPS:
- Do walk into the small alleys and you will be very happy to find hidden painting/drawings/figurines and arts ..=)
- Take pictures.. loads of it... every few steps is an amazing photo OPP.. =)
- Its also good to have a camera stand if u coming here during low season and want a group pictures as a lot of locals had it and we even thought it was an amazing idea. you can also get those there about (15000-20000 won )

Hi, I am thinking of visiting this on a Seoul stopover (overnight). Flight leaves at 2pm so would need to check in at 11am. Is it far from the airport transit hotels to visit and would a taxi be easy enough to get? Thank you for your help!

Hi, I'm thinking about stopping here on our way to the airport. I'm wondering how would we get to the airport from here (I'm assuming taxi is the best way) and how long it would take. Also, if we take the subway to Incheon station, is there a place for our bags (lockers?) at the station so we don't have to lug them around? Thanks
