There are many funeral tombs (mounds) in the park. Thet are much more interesting if you have seen how they are constructed. There is a great display in the National Museum.

Unlike the mounds inside Daereungwon, you can see this one for free. There are some signs to inform you of the history (in Korean and English). Worth a look if the weather is tolerable.

So much history in one place. Unique tombs unlike anything I've seen. The artifacts that are here are fascinating. The scenery is gorgeous and unique.

The tumuli tombs in Gyeongju are really impressive and unique. This one is in a nice and free-entrance park. Stroll around at night, when the illuminated tombs acquire an eerie and surreal appearance

These do not quite rival the Egyptian Pyramids, but as centuries old burial sites they are fascinating. They were the location of some of Korea's national Treasures.

As long as you're not expecting too much. And not crowded with tourists like the other tomb sites. You'll see regular Korean folks, young couples and old friends, just hanging out or going for a walk and enjoying the setting.
