Expo Bridge looks tacky at first and clearly outdated as the other remnants of the 1993 Daejeon World Expo. But the surrounding area on the river path gets popular when it’s near dusk as the bridge lights up as families and couples set up picnics to enjoy the sunset. While the bridge itself isn’t much of a sight, it is a nice backdrop in the evening when it lights up.

During the day, this looks like just another colorful bridge, but at night it’s a great spot to relax and get some cool pictures. The bridge is located near the Arboretum, so if you time it right you can do both things.

Good luck and have fun!

As others have said, this is really one of the important gems of Daejeon. As my title suggests, it's best at night. I recommend spending a day or afternoon in the park area, seeing museums, walking the gardens, riding a bike, taking a boat ride- then you can eat dinner north of the bridge as the sky darkens. Then you will the see the sparkling lights that change on the bridge. It's fun to walk and take pictures under the bridge. Fun!

Walk along the river bank and I did take a lot of beautiful pictures of the bridge at night. A picture says a thousand words. I don't have to say much, you should judge it from the picture.

Great for couples to enjoy river view, light display of the bridge and the breeze. Good for having a walk after dinner. Come on good weather days!

Do visit at least once. Cross to other side and stop in the middle to take pics of the Expo area and the vast expanse of the parks in both sides of the river.

Also has multi colored lights at night but went there during winter, and it looked like lots of the lights were not working.

Accessible only to pedestrians and bikes.

I love running on this bridge when jogging in Daejeon. The noise of the planks is a nice comfort for the runner.

Only in Daejeon where you can see this kind of bridge with the red and blue color! It seems like one of Daejeon's own landmark bridge!
