Udo Island is what I imagined Jeju to be..beautiful coast line beside grassy fields. A relaxing day trip soaking up the amazing scenery. Well worth the (little) effort if you are in the area, and consider a day trip if you aren't! The port is about a 15 minute walk from Sunrise Peak. You buy ferry tickets in a white... More

Udo is a small island just off Jeju island and is a 15min ferry ride. Once you are there you can hike, hire a bike or get on a round island hop-on hop-off bus which are quite frequent. The island is a lava plateu but some beaches have golden sand or white coral sand. The island is lush and green... More

Wonderful places with amazing scenery. We joined the round island shuttle trip for just 2000 won and you can go around the islands. If you are lucky enough, you can get English speaking bus driver to explain more details on Udo Island. Wonderful!!

A wonderful way to enjoy beautiful Udo is actually by walking the Olle Trail 1-1. There's a total of 26 trails totaling 425kms round Jeju. Website jejuolle.org. Distance is 11.2km which covers the major places on the island. Trail starts & finishes at Cheonjin-hang(port) where you arrive by ferry from Seongsan Harbour. Its a relatively easy & flat trail taking... More

I rented a motobike and rode all around the island in 2 hours. This Island is a gem. Don't miss it. The ferry price was very cheap and you can have good korean foods on the Island.

My friend and I loved this place. We drove in to Udo, boarding the ferry in our car (quite an experience in itself!), and only had 4 hours to explore. Jump shots at the various beaches, hiking up to the tallest part of Udo, trying Hallasan fried rice at the Pungwon restaurant, and having peanut and tangerine ice-cream at Jimmy's... More

Upon my arrival on the island, I bumped into Taiwanese travelers who recommended the Hallasan fried rice. The restaurant is within 15-20 walking distance to the port (where you got off the ferry). The fried rice was covered with vegetables and squid. The owner would go to each table to pour egg yolk and cheese and make the dish look... More

Try to give yourself a little extra time to buy tickets as they day we travelled it was packed with tourists. The short ferry trip was wonderful, and offered great views of Udo as we approached. On reaching the island the first thing we observed were the amount of rental companies offering bikes, electric 2/3 seater buggies, scooters and tandem.... More

The ferry to Udo island is fairly close to the Seongsan Ilchulbong peak, close to a 15 mins walk. The ferry ride is 15 mins only, and you get to see some amazing views all through. In the island, there are many beautiful beaches and cafes. We rented bikes (do remember to ask them for a map if you do!),... More

Udo is a very windy and beautiful island. The views from udo peak is breathtaking. There is a round trip udo tour bus for 5000won per pax which shuttle you to 5 attraction stops of the island. First stop is to the black sand beach where you can see the black sand beach and a cave (during low tide). If... More
