From the sidewalk to the back of the stairs, there is a building called Kaigettei (the so-called Rokkakudo) and an observatory that overlooks the sea nearby. From the observatory, there is a wonderful sea view with the blue sea all over. It is a great place for morning and evening walks. If you walk all the way downhill, you will see a stone wall with unique Korean tiles. It is full of Korean atmosphere and the atmosphere is very good.

We could not book the Haeundae Blue Line capsule or train so we ended up walking this coastal boardwalk from Mipo to Cheongsapo. It was an easy leisurely walk with plenty of viewing platforms for photo taking. Lovely views of the ocean with pine trees.

We went to Dalmaji Road in early April where the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom. Nice place to take pictures and soak in the cherry blossom atmosphere.

To go to Dalmaji Road: From Haeundae subway station, we told the cab to bring us to Haewoljeong 해월정 (the pavilion at Dalmaji Road) which we paid 3,600 won. Dalmaji Road is a hilly road.

From the pavilion we walk downwards back towards Haeundae Beach which takes about 20/30mins (more or less) depending how often you stop and enjoy the flowers. Dalmaji Road is also a good place to view Haeundae Beach from afar.

Pretty spot for pictures, but the best part to me was a short hike on the Moontanroad trail which makes you feel like you’re in the forest and not in a huge city. One of my favorite moments of my trip to South Korea.

Although I categorized all my photos as Dalmaji-gil Road, they were all taken on Moontan Road actually. Moontan Road is a tranquil trail beside Dalmaji-gil. Its entrance is located in the middle of Dalmaji-gil Road, so one can find it easily. Just take a few step beside and walk along the mountain trail. You can walk along the trail all the way, or go down to Old Busan Railroad. Both are the best view spots of Haeundae. Actually local travelers visit Moontan Road & the old railway much more than Dalmaji-gil Road. I don't know why they are not registered as attraction site on Tripadvisor.

It’s a road that becomes a park when you don’t drive it, surrounded by trees, with a mountain easy to walk trail, well paved, offering you astonishing views of the sea and Haeundae beach; many people come here to stay and wait for magic moments for magic pictures, especially sunset,... and at spring its trees go crazy floury, amazingly colourful.... you just need to hit the cherry blossom season right, that lasts just 10 days! ... a great place to spend an afternoon, also with a big range of coffee shops and restaurants along the road.

Pictures of this place looked stunning during the cherry blossoms season. But when we went in September and at night, the place was eerily quiet and deserted. It looked like any normal suburb neighbourhood with a only handful of restaurants which were mostly with few or no customers. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Take line 2 to Jangsan station. It's a long uphill walk so take a taxi and drop off at the hill top (dalmaji hae wol jung ) and have an easy walk back down. Just 3000 krw.
Come in April and it's lovely with overhanging branches of cherry blossoms. Many food outlets here too.

This is truly a place you all MUST SEE and enjoy. You can access this nice long street from the coast line. Actually we came all the way up from the Cheongsapo Port - 청사포 and the Cheongsapo Daritdol Skywalk Observatory - 青沙浦天空步道. Two places we will review later on.

The walk from the port and the sky-walk is up the hill and a bit hard as I had a massive 30 Kg backpack on me. But as you can see in the pictures once you arrive to a bridge that is actually beautiful and floored with wood; like a deck. Right there you can appreciate outstanding views of the coast line and we were lucky enough to hit this place pre-sunset time.

You may continue walking along the bridge and then you actually join a forest path; properly deigned and well kept, where you will be walking literally along the coast line but from above.

Beautiful restaurants and expensive real state escorts your walk all along the path on the right side, whilst the breathtaking views of the tree tops on the forest and the ocean escorts your way on the left.

We took our time as usual to take in the scenery and to breath the fresh air that blew from the ocean and the forest. After a couple of ours the path started to descent and we ended up right at the beginning of Haeundae Beach - 해운대해수욕장 and walked across the marvelous Busan's Skyscrapers on the way to our hotel.

This place is highly recommended for relaxation, fresh air and a nice evening of exercise and fitness, whilst taking in a wonderful sunset looking at the ocean.

It is a MUST SEE. I recommend no children here in this experience as you'll loose the full spectrum of the views and the moment.

Seaside views and really pretty views. We passed by this on the BUTI bus and if time permits can spend some time just to soak in the views!
