Started at the Igidae Park end which may not have been the best option. Not particularly well-signposted.

Gorgeous views - a true coastal walk, and when the sign says Suspension Bridge, they mean 5 bridges. Yup.

More gorgeous views on a cold winter morning about 6 degrees C.

Reached a point called Eoulmandung (a famous filming location apparently) and then decided to backtrack - the wooden handrails sort of ended after this lookout point and after looking at the rocks and terrain I decided that I wasn’t comfortable carrying on.

So it was back through the 5 suspension bridges with the same wonderful views.

It's good to visit oryukdo skywalk early in the morning to avoid crowd and start the igidae Park from there. There are several trails to choose, opt for the coastal trail/orange colour trail, it has ocean view and 4.7km, around 2 hour and half. The park is well marked with name, distance and colour code of the trail. If there is no sign, keep the right side. If you still have some energy toward the end, keep going to the Gwangalli beach, another 3km plus. You can have evening stroll along the beach to cool down your tire knee, it does really hurt badly. Too much stairs and uneven path along the trail.

A 40 minutes bus ride (#27) from the Busan station to the SK view apartment (last stop) arrived at the lookout platform, then started my walk into the igidae park. It's a 4.7km route along the coastline (dongsaeng mal trail). This is the easier start as there's not much stairs up besides the first 5 minutes or so. Beautiful coastline and you get to see gm the gwangan bridge at a different angle. An easy 2 hours walk and you will be back into down (a little neighbour called LG city.

Highly recommended, hiking shoes or a good pair of walking shoes are best. We started from Oryukdo Skywalk and walked all the way to other end. I recommend starting the walk at Oryukdo. It is less constant climbing from this direction. At the end the of the wall is a bus stop but only around the park. Walk down the hill, turn left to the next light, cross the the street and thr #2 bus line stop is there.

There is less climbing if starting from Oryukdo Skywalk and we ended up near Namcheon station after walking dow n the hill from the end of the trail. Good hiking or walking shoes recommended. Flip flops and sandals will not do well.

To get there, take line 2 to Oryukdo Quia from the Kyungsan University metro station exit 5 and go left down the street not straight out of the exit.. The #2 line stops on both sides of the street but get on the exit 5 side and the #2 line bus should head away from the metro station. If you get on the #2 bus from the exit 3 side you have to do all the stops in between before it stops on the other side of the street.

It is about 30 minutes or less from there. It is essentially the last stop... you will know when when to get off when you see a big hill and ocean.

You can also get there from Busan Station on bus #27. Make sure you are on the side of the read where the bus heads in the direction of Oryukdo because the 27 also stops on both sides of the street but opposite directions.

I love this place better than taejongdae. This place is not well known i guess but it really worth it. From Kyunsung subway take exit 5, go around the corner and walk straight to bus stop. If you are a group of more than 4, it's cheaper to take taxi.. haha it will cost like 4000++ won. But if you are 2 person or alone, better to take bus..you can take bus in 20's but not 10 and 155..Bus stop at Igidae and cross the road to a glasses shop. and just go straight for 1km. You might have to walk 20 min before arriving..and it walking up hills..But the view is worth all the trouble

This was quite a hike. Took bus 27 all the way to the end, which is Oryukdo Skywalk. Finished the Skywalk and start the hike. Lots of stairs to climb. Coastal scenery is beautiful. We took 3 hours at a leisurely pace. Worth the climb and definitely better than spending your time shopping.

Walking in that park makes you forgetting that you are in a big city! The park is actually a forest on a sea-side hill. The coast ride is quite interesting, with hanging pedestrian bridges, while it offers from a few points a really wonderful, panoramic view of Busan (Gwangalli Beach and Haeundae Beach).

My main purpose of visiting Haewoondae was walking Igidae trail, which is a nice trekking trail combined with the great view of ocean and intresting walk. Sometimes streneous, mostly nice. Start from Oryukdo Pier, which course is easier, as it is mostly downhill. If you start from Igidae, it would have more uphills.

I walked the coastal trail from the SkyWalk about half way through the park with my wife and two friends. The trail was beautiful with both landscaping and raw nature along the trail as well as a constantly changing view of the pacific ocean and rocky shoreline. Much of the trail was completely shaded but we still were exposed enough to get a light sunburn. The trail is full of steep inclines and declines so if you have knee or heart problems you might want to skip this one. There is a little bit of wildlife - we saw a squirrel and heard a cuckoo. What worked out nicely for us was the little detour about half way that take you up to the road and a bus stop (or taxi). We were about spent at that point and glad to go get some lunch. Another nice treat was a lady selling popsicles on one of the viewing platforms. I got the coffee flavor - yum.

We went to Igidae Park on an overcast, fairly cool day. We started at the Suyeongman Bay end of the coast trail and hiked to the Oryukdo Skywalk. The trail is well maintained - often times a well built Boardwalk! The views are beautiful! You can see from the Gwangali Bridge all the way to the other side of Haeundae. Just stunning. You can also walk around on the rocky coastline itself. It was fun.

If you go from one end to the other, keep in mind that there are a lot of stairs and areas where the trail becomes steep. Make sure you have water. There are restrooms along the trail.

We took the 27 bus from the Skywalk to the Kyungsung University - Pukyong National University Station to get back to our lodging.
