- denveristaDenver, Colorado143 contributionsCan't wait to go back somedayI lived in a small apartment in a high rise right on Gwangalli Beach for a month and commuted into Seomyeon on the subway on weekdays (via Geumnyeonsan station). I loved this location. There are plenty of restaurants and cafe/dessert places on every block, and of course there is a 7-Eleven or GS25 on every block, too. Small grocery stores are also within walking distance. It's a great place to walk for exercise, and I felt safe walking alone. There are buskers on the beach, which is fun. It can be a little noisy at night, so try for a higher floor if you face the beach.Visited June 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 23, 2023
- Deanosaur89Edmonton, Canada8,617 contributionsNice Night VisitThis beach has a great view of the Gwangan Beach and makes us wish we had visited when it was warmer to enjoy the water. The area is lined with nice restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. There are some interactive exhibits in the area for photo opportunities and we enjoyed ourselves despite the cold weather. The closest metro station is Gwangan and we found ourselves spending about 2 hours in the area as we enjoyed a nice dinner and checked out some shops. Had it been warmer we would consider spending much more time here and perhaps booking a hotel as we found this beach pretty central in Busan.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 20, 2023

However, if you are in the area, worth taking a few minutes out of your evening. - HusinWidjajaJakarta, Indonesia108 contributionsOne of Busan must visit spotsMany people come to Gwangalli beach around sunset but not to watch the sun set. They come to see the light show of the Gwangandaegyo Bridge and also the drone light show. The Gwangandaegyo Bridge light starts after the sun set every day. The drone light show is scheduled to perform only 2(two) times every Saturday evening all year round and depending on the month. From October to February at 19:00 and 21:00. From March to September at 20:00 and 22:00. These schedules are for 2024. It is best to check the current schedule as it may change depending on the situation. The drone light show runs about 10 minutes. It is best to watch the light show while drinking coffee at one of the shops along Gwanganhaehyeon-ro.Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 7, 2024
- 253SASingapore, Singapore3,379 contributionsLook up in the night sky!Judging by the number of people there, you have to believe that Gwangalli Beach has got to be Busan's second most popular beach in Busan, coming in close after its more slightly better known sibling, Haeundae Beach. This beach is located at the Gwangan district of Busan. One of the most breathtaking sights that greets you is the beautiful and iconic Gwangan Bridge spanning the entire stretch of the beach. Just like Haeundae, Gwangalli's many many lanes and alleys are filled with restaurants, cafes, bars, bistros and coffee places. It's really a treat to get a cup of tea and sit and just watch the world go by. If you happen to be there on a Saturday, then there is an incentive to stay past dinner because of the Gwangalli Marvelous Drone Light Show that happens at 8pm and 10pm. The theme for the show we saw was "Dinosaur" so we had great fun seeing those drones light up in the sky into T-Rex, Triceratops and what not.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 2, 2024

The air was still cool in early June and there were buskers along the beach. Great atmosphere!Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 22, 2024
- 주헌 배1 contributionAmazing seaIf sightseeing is their thing, then the best place to go is Gwangalli Beach. It’s well worth a visit because there are many beautiful scenery. What’s more there are a lot of delicious restaurants around here. Especially there's a restaurant called Ant House, which was amazing. And at night, the scenery and lighting of the sea were prettier. My friends and I went to a cocktail bar and ate something delicious while looking at the sea view. As I ate while looking at the sea, I felt more delicious. Very touristy especially in the night. During the day, because I visited in summer, the place was empty and not busy. Perhaps due to very hot temperature and very high humidity. However in the night I’m the place turn out to be busy, crowded and touristy. After 20:30 PM I had problem in finding place to eat (restaurant) in the area as most restaurants close at 21:00 PM and they do not accept customers anymore from 20:30 or so. Except that you are ok with hanging out in the bar, not restaurant, then it’s ok. The bridge looks beautiful in the night.

We travelled to Gwangali Beach between Christmas and New Year. The beachfront was alive - even at that time of year. Such a beautiful long white sandy beach full of happy people (all wearing big coats). Then on sunset the lights of the engineering masterpiece, the Gwangandaegyo Bridge provided the perfect view. Boat near the beach were sending up fireworks. It was a magical time.

If I stay in Gwangalli Beach area, is it far from Busan Train Station if I am coming from Seoul and to the Busan Airport if I am flying out to Jeju?
Written January 7, 2018
Not that far, you can take train or buses, off course with taxi as well. Allocate 45mins for travelling between Gwangalli to downtown, and at least 1:!5hrs to the airport.
For me, mainly to explore the city downtown area, I chosen to stay around Seomyeon.

Which Busan beach is best for snorkeling? I want to see fish.
Written August 28, 2016
Hi, I'm not sure in Busan as there is no reef sections that I know of. Most of the beaches will be nice on a calm day, but you wont see many fish. I live on Geoje Island, there is more marine life there. I hear Jeju Island is the place to snorkel.
Hope this helps a bit

hi,
Thot of taking a taxi from BIFF to Gwangalli. Any idea the estimated cab fare?
Or any other advice on the mode of transport?
Thanks!
Written February 22, 2015
we arrived to the beach from nampodonga 1003 bus. I do not remember stopping at which got off the bus. drove on the navigator. The cost of 1,700 won. from the bus stop you have to pass between the houses to the beach.
