About
Since launching in 1964 as South Korea's first cable car line, Songdo Cable Car has gone through a major refurbishment and relaunched as Busan Air Cruise. This mile-long line extends from Sondo Bay Station in Songnim Park southwards to Songdo Sky Park in Amnam Park. When riding the cable car, you can enjoy spectacular views of Busan's Songdo Beach, Namhang Bridge, and the craggy cliffs along the coastline. There are also art installations and other attractions to explore at both ends of the line. Take the Crystal Cruise for exhilarating views of the sea below through the glass-bottom cabin floors—though it comes with a premium over ordinary cars. – Tripadvisor

Still a nice experience and dry place to be in the rain. Was easy to get a taxi there (as we were under time constraint) and got a ticket quickly and then on straight away pretty much. Maybe crowds were less because of the rain too. In a sunny day this would be a gorgeous view of the bay and ships. Very safe and clean.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 23, 2024
- LynsFrostee8 contributionsLove a Cable Car!My partner and I love a cable car so this was fairly high on our to do list. Its a tad awkward to get to, depending obvioulsy on where you are based in Busan but there is a bus that will take you there from most locations. Just a bit annoying that there isnt a metro station option. The views from the cable car were stunning and it takes you to a high up view point with some fab little street food style cafes so its a good place to grab some food if you have the time. At the end location there is also a tiny cable car museum which was random but vaguely interesting. Its free so why not.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 26, 2024
- MissHDCLondon, United Kingdom276 contributionsSea views from aboveIt's a cable car with some lovely sea views. It was comfy and felt safe. There was the option to have a clear floor panel. This cost a little more and we opted for it but to be honest- we didn't need it. You could only see the sea and we paid more attention to the views from the window. Staff were all friendly and helpful There is a food court thing with food stalls at the top. Some weird random dinosaurs that move/roar. Not too sure what else there was to do at the top as our main goal was to go to the suspension bridge.Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 26, 2024
- charrison55Middlesbrough, United Kingdom55 contributionsExcellent adventureThe whole experience was fantastic. So well organised and hardly any wait time. So clean and a fantastic ride over the bay. There is so much to do on the other side so you need to leave lots of time to explore. The park is amazing as are the walks and parks. We went over the suspension bridge. We had to buy a ticket but it was only a few pounds. It was well worth the price. I wound defiantly recommend this adventure.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 5, 2024
- merc89891,518 contributionsGreat viewAlso known as Songdo Air Cruise, this is a 20 mins cable car ride from Songdo to the opposite island with glorious view of the surrounding areas. Queue was short as it was a non peak season and a weekday. Discount of 2000w available for seniors above 65 with proof. Normal fare is 17,000 won for standard cabin while see thru cabins are much higher. Several walking trails at the top. Good for clear cooling day.Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten May 8, 2024
- Soerjo HSemarang, Indonesia104 contributionsWrite your wish on the dragon's scaleIn ancient times, there lived a dragon in a holy place of Songdo sea that was believed to make your wish come true. This dragon sculpture was created with the motif of the dragon's reincarnation with a total length of 23.728 meters and about 5 meters in height. The 10.754 holes in the body is to hang the plates of dragon scales, which if you write your wish there, the dragon will grant your wish.Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten May 23, 2024
- 253SASingapore, Singapore3,502 contributionsNice rideThe cable car comes in both the normal standard cabin and the crystal floor cabin. IMO, it is sufficient to spend your money on just the standard cabin because there isn't much to look at down the sea. The magic is up there when start seeing those majestic pine trees as you slowly pull into the Songdo Skypark. Also, from that height, you can see the suspension bridge in its full glory. So, save your money and just enjoy the ride.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 2, 2024
- magviajemasLos Angeles, California533 contributions360 View from the oceanI enjoyed my crystal cable car by myself. The crystal cable car is about 5K Won more than the tinted one. I got the round trip ticket so I had to get off when I got to the other side and they will scan my ticket again after I got in line again. It did not sway or shake. It is better on a clear day so that the view is more breathtaking.Visited July 2024Traveled soloWritten July 9, 2024
- Danielavlt7Rome, Italy2,709 contributionsBeautiful.Very positive experience, we took the cabin with the transparent floor although more expensive but more suggestive! Once you arrive at your destination you can take a walk in the woods or a simple stop on warmer days! Or descend to the Cliff Viewpoint ( Recommendation ) where there is a beautiful viewVisited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 25, 2024
- podrozniczka60New Jersey17,113 contributionsSpectacular views - Busan Air CruiseSondo Marine Cable Car originated in 1964 and reopened 2017 after a restoration . It is named after a nearby beach. The ride is delightful and the views- beautiful. After arrival to the final station there is a nice cafe to relax in , a souvenir shop with rather strange selection of items. It is worthwhile to climb to a second level for photo opportunities of the viewing floor with art installations. We especially enjoyed the opportunity to hike a little in the area. If you are with kids you need to visit roaring dinosaurs on display. The exhibits and installations are rather eclectic, including an airplane and the little prince statue. Highly recommended for the great views.Visited August 2024Traveled with friendsWritten August 27, 2024

We arrived with the red faster bus 1011 which goes directly from Haeundae almost to the cable car. The journey time was almost 1 1/2 hours long due to heavy traffic jams on the bridges.
We had a 48 hour. Visit Busan pass (can be bought at the airport or at the tourist office), so the ride was free.
For 5,000won extra you get the glass bottom, but not really worth it.
We were weekdays, there were few people without queuing and we got a gondola with a glass bottom. I can't tell if it was an accident or if it's with the card.
There is a nice skywalk (at the end of the gondola ride) to get to this which leads to a small
Island leads, you have to go over a suspension bridge and costs another 2,000 won (is also included with the Visit Busan pass), which you can reach via steep wooden steps. The panoramic view is beautiful.
The gondola ride itself offers a panoramic view of the city and sea.
There is a small food street in front of the waiting hall. The ice cream was ok, the food, warmed up in the mic was not special and expensive.
There is a small dinosaur park, I think you should have seen it.
Before you even get to the gondola, you can go on a skywalk.

Excellent views of the ocean, city, beach and mountains! Great activity if you’re visiting Busan and want to enjoy a Birds Eye view of the area. You can purchase either a one way or return ticket, and you purchase the ticket from machine on Level 1 before preceding upstairs to the station. I visited on a Friday morning and there was hardly anyone in line waiting, so I’d recommend going on a weekday if you don’t want to wait. Grab an orange juice from the fresh juice bar too, they’re pretty good!

So much more than a cable car ride. Recommend bring a Kimbap picnic lunch as once you are on the other end of the cable car you can explore the trails that wind through the forest and cliff side with beautiful views of the sea and ships. Wear good sturdy shoes for the smaller trails. The cable car ride itself is awesome and the side windows have openings for clear photos of the beach, sea, ships and shoreline. At the Songdo beach end when we returned, there are delicious seafood restaurants that are affordable - we had grilled fish 15000 KRW and it was one of the best grilled fish I have had. We only spent about 3 hrs there but could easily spent more time there exploring the trails. It reminded me abit of Wilson's Prom back home in Australia. My wife said we thought it would be an easy day on the cable car but we ended up doing 20k steps!

The cable cars was a nice experience. I think it is not necessary to spend the extra to go for a so-called crystal cabin as the only difference is the floor board is a see thru glass. It brings you to another nearby island and the right is quite short as the speed of the cable cars was quite fast. I had not sat in an other cable car that travelled as fast.
Overall, it was a good experience.

This is a gondola ride called "Busan Air Cruise," which connects Songdo Beach to Songdo Sky Park. It is a popular tourist attraction, so there can be a line. But since gondolas depart very frequently, you can usually just show up and buy tickets at the door. There is a gift shop at the Songdo Beach station, and food stalls at the Sky Park station. You can choose between a standard cabin or a crystal cabin. I recommend the crystal cabin, as it has a glass floor so you can see everything below. Side note that most of the signs and literature are not in English. If you're still learning Korean, like myself, translation apps are useful here. I really enjoyed the ride and the stunning views. I feel this is a wonderful way to see Busan from the air!

I have taken the cable car 4 times now, I love the surroundings, going up to the top whilst looking at the beautiful oceans is the most peaceful experience.
Once you get to the top you’ll reach the sky harbour, perfect place to relax and and admire the perfect views.
I’m a sunset lover so I recommend going about 4:00pm and spend some time until sunset, you can grab some drinks and corn dog. Don’t miss out!

Great place, especially at sunset. I definitely recommend visiting if you find yourself in Busan. Not high cost. Two types of booths, with a glass floor and a simple one. A round-trip ticket for two in a glass-floor booth costs 46,000 won.

This case, we took the egg with the glass floor, either about 30 €, or four euros more but we were only two in the egg
Visit to do, because we see a panoramic view of Busan The complement of the plan costs 1000 won considering the expense, do not hesitate to go there
There are air-conditioned cafes everywhere

30' by bus 26 from KTX train station of Busan.
the ticket for the cabine is 13000Kw for way up if you add way down, it's going to be 17000Kw.
The way up and down is ~10'
The walk is up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down endlessly.
Some nice view as you can see from video, but nothing extraordinair. Park for kids and adult a bit kitchen I would say

This was a great view so we got some beautiful pictures. It takes you to a small park with nice views which is a good place for a walk and theres a lot of snacks. Probably good for kids, a date, or bringing grandparents along. We took the cable car at 5:30 and caught the sunset. We took the normal car (not the crystal car) and received a discount of 2000 won per ticket as we were a family over 3 people. You have to pay for roundtrip because a foot passenger bridge is broken due to the typhoon.

Do you have to buy tickets in advance? Also how dependable on the weather is this ride?
Written September 7, 2019
In July when my wife and I were there, the queue was all of 30 seconds. However this was on a weekday. On a summer weekend, there may be a longer queue.
Staff understood a little English, not that they needed to as buying tickets was straightforward.
There were no groups travelling when we boarded, other than small families, and very few of the individual gondola cars were occupied.
