Huck Finn's Warehouse came in at the 11th hour and saved a much beloved capital district fixture, the former Hoffman's Playland. They carefully took it all apart from their old location and painstakingly reassembled it next to their warehouse. The result is like déjà vu. This is definitely a place for children. Elementary aged and younger. But it is like Christmas to them. There are a number of wonderful old fashioned non scary rides, that kids just love. And the railroad is just so sweet and quaint. Release your inner child for a couple hours and stop by with your little ones to revisit this gem.

My grandparents took me to Hoffman's playland, and my children went as well until it closed. I am happy that Huck Finn's stepped up and re-opened the playland, but it is much smaller and just not the same. My children are 8 and 10 and they have just outgrown it which is a shame. Good for children 3 - 8, in my opinion.

While this is by far not to be compared to rides at a fair or bigger park, it certainly does the job entertaining children. It is neat and fun for the kids.

This is a great place for a fun day outside. I think it's mostly appropriate and fun for any child from 2-12 years old. Most of the rides are good for that age range. It was just enough to do for our little ones-clean, no lines (we visited on a Saturday 7/22), reasonably priced, nice staff members!

The only bad part was that they advertised that we would get these huck bucks but never received them or heard anything about them! I questioned this on FB after we left and was told that I needed to ask for them! SMH. If this is something that is suppose to come with buying a book of tickets why would I know that I needed to ask them for it! SMH. Besides that it was a great place for the little ones!

I'm sure young ones will enjoy this, but for those of us who grew up with Hoffman's Playland, this is a poor substitute. They've got the rides at Huck Finn's but they don't have the atmosphere, the games, the "fun" that was a day at Hoffman's. Go for the rides - don't expect anything - and your kids will have a ball.

For anyone who ever went to Hoffman’s Playland, this is a little trip down memory lane. While most of the rides are the same, it is just not the same feel. This place is still fun for kids, but the rides are a little tired.

On our visit today, it was unlimited rides for $10 which was nice. It made for a bit of a crowd but we had no problem riding what we wanted. The kids had a great time.

There are a few problems with a Huck Finns, most notably being the lack of shade. There are no trees and on a hot and sunny day it can be tough. Also, as it was the end of the season, many of the rides need a little attention. A few of the rides had lights that were not working or interactive bells and whistles that were also not operating. A good winter break with some TLC should help.

All in all, Huck Finns is fun for the kids, but the older they get, the less there is to do. If you have little ones, stop in, they will still love it.

My wife and I visited Huck Finn's Playland in August 2017 during a driving tour of amusement parks in the US (we are from UK). I had not heard of this park until researching for our holiday but this is basically a relocation of what was previously Hoffman's Playland. The ride manager, Eric, was previously at Hoffman's and some staff and many of the rides made the move.

The location is a little unusual for an amusement park, down a side road surrounded by warehouses, but it works fine. The parking is free, the ride tickets are inexpensive, and they have a nice collection of things for children to do. Adults can ride the roller coaster...we did, it was fun. Drinks and food were also great value. Well worth a visit.

Looking for apartment furniture and was pleasantly surprised. They breakdown everything into zones making it easy to find what you need. They even have small kitchen and bathroom items like garbage cans and shower rods. So glad I found it. The staff were friendly and helpful without being pushy sales people.

They also have a carnival set up for kids outside. Thought that would be fun if you had little ones.

Probably most Capital residents have been or will go to HUCK'S version of what was once HOFFMAN's. Rides are still a good buy and multiple tickets are available at the attraction. Kids size only. Except for the train.
