Not many choices in the commuter city of Albany, this is one of the few, lotsa places to eat and drink, but a little crusty around the edges.

Old buildings, parking poor, question whether it is safe to walk around in the evening, not a highlight of any city

Interesting street. Interesting indeed. Comparison to Greenwich Village is asinine. Cool shops and restaurants abound. Interesting.

Just had time to pass by a couple of times on quick visits to Albany, but plan on actually walking around in the future. I hear there are great restaurants in the area. Looks like it would be great!

This is an exciting part of Albany and great for late night fun. It has many bars and nightclubs throughout the area, but also be aware that there are some bad sections and things can get out of control very easily. Be Careful.

Lark street has a lot of cool little shops and eateries that are fun. Parking isn't always the easiest as something to be aware of.

This is a cute little street right on the edge of the historic district in Albany. There’s tons of shops and restaurants and bars that you can pop into while your’re walking. I highly recommend winding around in the historic district too and taking in...More

A walk down Lark Street used to be a visit to Greenwich Village of old. But many of the restaurants and shops have closed, and the feeling isn't there anymore. There are some treasures so don't totally avoid a visit, but you need to walk...More

Downtown Albany has distinct neighborhoods. One street can be fine on one end and turn into a ghetto in a few blocks. However, Lark Street is a fine place. there are many businesses and thriving shops along this beautiful street. There are many cafes, restaurants...More

Hi, I am looking into renting a condo in ocean city for a few days and no nothing about the area. I have found a few that look good around 23rd street and Lark street. Is this a good neighborhood? Thank you so much for your help. Anywhere i definitley should avoid staying?

Lark Street is one block over from Bayshore Drive where some of my extended family has a place. It is an okay area, but it is on the western half one of widest parts of Ocean City, which makes a walk to beach really, really long. Personally, I find the walk too long to walk to the Beach there (and I like to walk, but carrying chairs, coolers, etc. it is just a hassle). Whenever, we are visiting at Bayshore Drive, we drive when going to hang out on the beach and park (I often joke that I feel...More
