Some fun clubs and some shops but not many. Good for late night stroll and a bite to eat. A couple of good eateries. Some beautiful buildings around the park - but don't stroll there after dark.

Nice street for a stroll, there is an eclectic mix of cafes and restaurants to stop in for a coffee or meal. There are also a number of small shops to investigate. Washington park is around one block away.

Lark street is nice for a walk to admire the architecture of the houses. Even at night it special if you look up to the roof tops

In the past 20 years lark street has evolved . You can go to a nice restaurant in the area as well as there are many festivals that take place there, Like the lark street fest. I feel it is a safe place to walk. It is near so many other wonderful things.

Walked down Lark on the way to Washington Park. A lovely, eclectic street- you can tell where it begins to decline. Lots of shops to stop in and take a look!

I went to college in Albany 30 years ago. Back then Lark street was edgy, gritty, and on teh cutting edge of the arts scene. Like much of Albany, it has gentrified and gone mor upscale. If you are in the area it is worth a stroll for some nice cafes, some unique shops, and quaint archetecture. If you are... More

What used to be one of the main arteries of urban gentrification in the 1970s and 1980s has festered into a sleazy residue of urban decline and filth and is currently characterized by a series of nondescript nail salons, fried chicken emporia, and consignment shops in decaying storefronts. Too bad, I remember when Lark Street was hip, happening, and on... More
