I was here several years ago for a family wedding and had a lovely time. They rented a tent and tables and had the lunch catered. The gardens were beautiful and they were married beneath the trees. It was intimate and fun! I highly recommend it!

Abraham Ten Broeck was an early New York businessman and general in the Revolutionary War. The mansion is on a high hill, but the current surroundings do not enhance its beauty. It is generally well furnished, but on a hot day it is rather uncomfortable. Attractive gardens in the rear are an added feature.

I've lived in Albany for 35 years and grew up going to aeaster egg hunts there. I still venture there to enjoy the gardens.

It seems that just about every historic site in the Hudson Valley has become a mecca for weddings and private parties. This is fine for raising money for preservation, however these organizations seem to have forgotten all about giving tours to the general public and the focus on history seems to have gone by the wayside. We traveled from Florida... More

If you get the chance to tour this beautiful old home take it! I've been here for a private party and it was a wonderful setting.

What an historic gem in Albany. The mansion was bedazzled with Christmas decorations and the well-informed volunteers were eager to share the history of the estate. So pleased we were a part of the Dutch Holiday celebration.

Based on the fact that there is only one other review it's seems that this is a forgotten gem in a city with few outstanding old buildings. We only found out about it by accident during our tour of Schuyler Mansion and are glad we did. We arrived for the 10am tour and were the only couple there. Our guide... More

Beautiful 18th Century Mansion situated right in Albany NY. This house was built approx 1790 and is the home of the Albany County Historical Society. We were very pleased with the in depth tour we received from our guide and the beautiful layout of the mansion. This mansion as well as the beautiful gardens are laid out and maintained very...
