This underground passage between the State Capitol and Madison Avenue is accessible by foot, private and public transportation. The southern termination brings you to the NYS Museum and Library. It give you access to all of the buildings in the Downtown State Office campus. There are bank branches, food vendors, a dental office, a YMCA exercise facility and you can... More

Do not miss this architectural gem of a Plaza where all the government buildings of New York State are located. The complex is approximately 100 acres and contains 10 beautiful buildings which reflect in the large pool at the center of the Plaza. It's a must stop for taking great pictures with the pool and the Egg building.

Albany is the capital of New York State. It is a mixture of old and new buildings. The plaza is a mix of old and new buildings. Quite peaceful just to walk around. The "egg" is totally made of concrete.

This location was the perfect setting for an Irish Dancing Competition. The meeting rooms are very large, the Main room is huge. The vast expanse of space and seating made it easy for families to relax while waiting during the day. The building is very elegant with the highly polished floors, well marked venue rooms, and spacious washroom facilities. We... More

Attended a dance competition for my youngest daughter. Could not find access nor directions to the parking garage - drove around in circles for 15 minutes before finally parking on the street. Then we couldn't find a door to get into it - another 15 minutes wandering around. Once inside there were no signs nor anyone available to indicate where... More

The convention center itself is set up very well for large events. But the parking setup, and the way it is run and finding your way around is another matter.

The convention center is located in the large building that most of us call The Egg. The building has a bit of Brutal Modernism in it but the facilities are the best you'll find in Albany.

We recently had to go to Albany Empire State Plaza for my daughters to perform at The Egg in a dance show. We found parking on the street to be fairly priced and easy to find. The plaza area was very nice to sit outside and enjoy lunch since it was a gorgeous day out. We thought that the entire... More
