The 1st beach we visited: long shoreline, calm and without too many waves, water temperature is good, and the water is clean.
You can take cruises from the beach, and you can find a few restaurants/bars along the shoreline.
You can also find your corner between the tries and relax.

Beautiful beach with crystal clear water and white sand. Now during Covid-19, it's completely deserted, so chances are you will have the beach for yourself. No dangerous currents or waves like in other parts of the island, ideal for swimming.
Be aware of sand flies though. We got bitten by a swarm of them, ruined the last part of our vacation.

Truly one of the best beaches in the world. Water was nice and calm and the weather was amazing. The tide was nice and calm to be able to swim and it was not crowded at all. You could have a whole section of the beach to yourself. Fishermen came in with the day's catch and were selling it at a stall nearby. Amazing.

Icing sugar type sand. Beautiful clear turquoise water. Simply amazing and super long beach with no one on it. We had miles of beach to ourselves. You can't miss it it is on the way to Anse Lazio.

Pay attention to the beach by called Roger, promised a BBQ on the beach, then disappeared,I got his picture if needed. Then promised to give us money back but no facts, we went to the police and they succeeded to give us back half of money. Everybody knows him and everybody criticize him, but at the end they support each other. Try not to give money in advance, but it's difficult because they have a sort of coalition making same prices and same way of business. I got his picture if needed.

Beaches in Praslin has lots of seaweeds. The best beaches on Seychelles is on La Digue island. We stay in a resort which is three minutes walk to Cote d'Or beach, in fact, we haven't swum here.
Cote d'Or has a wide sandy beach with lots of seaweeds. But it is a lovely place for a walk and to watch a sunset in the afternoon. You can do an endless walk on the beach, and if you go inland you'll arrive at the center of Praslin, there loads of shops and restaurants.
Walking at Cote d'Or beach, you'll approach by a guy selling tours. Don't be a fool booking a trip from him. Our hotel host warned us about him! Be aware!

Most probably the best beach in Praslin island. The beach is also quite long and one can find a quiet spot quite easily - at least in November.

Good place to stay and eat. At the right side has a beautiful spot to refresh. But to swing in a pristine beach have to take boat to other islands

We arrived in the morning at about 9am on the ferry from Mahe and hired a car and headed to Cote d'Or beach
This is the best beach for kids as it is very flat and the waves are very kids friendly
Soft white sand
Check the tides, when we got there around 9am tide was going out
Can also get day trip dive operators on the beach
Pretty safe but I would watch my bags carefully
Lots of restaurants near beach
We parked next to the beach Biggest disappointment was that there are no toilets on any public beach in Seychelles, nor any taps to wash your feet and no showers, You have to use restaurants nearby. This typically costs euro 1 per person to use bathrooms
Very very disappointing that there are no public amenities. They are almost non existent Also no car parks at beaches. You have to park on gravel next to beaches
Cote d"Or is the best beach in Praslin, maybe all of Seychelles
I would not stay on Praslin, resorts are generally 3 and 4 star and rustic
Raffles et al, the 5 star resorts, are too remote
For a country wholly reliant on tourism, there is no tourist friendly infrastructure, I find the country a rip off. Very expensive and not value for money
There are much better value destinations for the type of money one spends in Seychelles

Bonjour, Je crois avoir compris votre question...Si vous parlez des algues du nom de "Sargasses". Non, il n'y en pas sur la Côte d'Or de Praslin.

Hi,
We wondering what does the beach look like in January for snorkeling?
Written October 25, 2016
I am planning a trip to Seychelles in July or August 2017 and am thinking about staying at the Cote d'Or. We are travelling with a baby and want to stay close to a nice beach. I know that there is a previous questions about whether or not there is seaweed on Cote d'Or during this period. The only answer says that there is none. However, when looking at photos people posted it seems like there can be a lot of seaweed during July and August. Now I don't know what to think. My questions are.
1. Is there seaweed on the beach during this period?
2. Is there a problem with stingrays? This is of particular concern since we are travelling with a baby.
3. I have read that it is more windy during this period of the year. Are we talking about serious wind or just a pleasant breeze? Will there be waves or is the water calm?
4. On photos there seems to be no lounge chairs or umbrellas? How can we protect ourselves and the baby from the sun? Can you rent an umbrella somewhere?
5. What area of the beach is best to stay? We are primarily concerned with the beach being as beautiful as possible and easy access to the water.

As far as I know there is no living coral arpund Praslin. But you can see som fish at the rocks. St Piere might be a better option for snorkling and seeing fish (so no coral). We were warned for stingray near the beach, but we didn,t see any during our one week stay in march. Some seeweed around this period, but beach is kept clean by hotels.
