This was our favourite beach on the island. Crystal clear water, with catamarans parked up in the bay. You can also snorkel between the rocks and see some pretty fish 🐠 No big hotels reserving a section of the beach for sun loungers. Buy fresh coconuts 🥥 from the guys on the beach 30-50sr. There is a restaurant just off the beach but it is currently closed for refurbishment, so bring your own snacks.

This was by far our favourite beach on our trip to the Seychelles. It ticked all the boxes. Blue water, soft white sand, perfect swimming, loads of shade under palm tree s and the Seychelle rocks that are so beautiful they look fake. We loved this beach and actually went twice. We had a car so just parked and short walk you on paradise. Take your snacks and drinks..there is only one restaurant set back from the beach and looks to be very expensive. We read reviews that said waves were rough but we found the waves to be perfect. But perhaps because we are South African we are more use to very big rough waves.

We visited in February and there was little shade, the waves were too strong to allow snorkeling, there are large boulders on the left and right, and a large one in the water to jump off. The ombré blue colors in the water are mesmerizing, unbelievably beautiful! There are two parking lots on the right as you drive up to the beach with about 20 parking spots each.

You can park at Chevalier restaurant if you eat there, you need to drive all the way down to the beach and around the corner in the sand. It’s expensive for burgers and sandwiches. There is a shower in the grassy area on the right. There are also large holes in the ground and if you look closely you will see large crabs in the holes. There are taxis parked in the restaurant parking lot.

If you walk down the beach on the left you will find a trail that takes you through the forest. Follow the trail to find more beaches and shade. The trail takes you past honesty bar and georgette beach.

Arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in the world means that it is also one of the busiest on the island. Located at the end of the road, there are some parking spaces before the beach, or you can press on to one of the lodges or food establishments. There are plenty of spaces on the beach in the sun and in the shade. As a popular beach, there are warnings about possessions, so all should keep an eye on their stuff. Like any beach, please take your garbage with you when you leave. If you stay on the beach long enough, you will see van full of tourists come and go.

Our driver, dropped us within meters of the beach. It’s as you have imagined, fine white sandy beach, granite boulders, palms hugging the shores, plenty of space to find a shady spot. When we were there, the waves where fairly high and strong, so not ideal for snorkeling, in fact very few bathers snorkeled. There are 1 or 2 unsavory characters, so watch your belongings. I personally found the popularity of this beach over rated. My personal favorite for Seychelles is Carana beach on Mahe.
Across the sand road, where the beach starts, there is a restaurant, see my other review for Le Chevaliers Bay Restaurant.

While visiting during the crazy covid-19 period, the beach was essentially all to ourselves... it was almost surreal. The water was crystal clear, but this time of year a bit of seaweed washes ashore (not terrible). Definitely a must when on Praslin.

This is may favorite beach in the world. I love it and visited it everyday in my 5 day visit to the Island. Each the day the waves was different, sometime calm and sometimes bigger. I loved the big waves. The water is crystal clear and blue. The surroundings are beautiful and was never crowed. We rented a car at the hotel to get around the Island - Paradise Sun Hotel. Love you Anse Lazio and Seychelles

Massively over-rated.

Ok, the beach is nice, but there are SO MANY better beaches in the Seychelles.

For me, it is an "average" beach because there are way too many people.

Better beaches :
Anse Victorin at Fregate Island
Anse Source d'Argent
Anse Georgette
Grande Anse at Six Senses Zil Pasyon (Felicite)
The beach at Four Seasons Mahé

Wonderful beach with perfect sand and crystal clear water. The current and waves can get quite strong, so it's not suitable if you just want to swim. But even staying on the beach and relaxing a bit in the water is worth the trip.

Beware of the guys selling fruit and coconuts though. They will charge you almost 10 EUR for a coconut. Ridiculous.

Wow. Just wow. Gorgeous. Beautiful. Awesome. Etc.Etc. Fantastic place. You could swim here even when there are some big waves. Most of beach is pure sand. It is not too deep and not too shallow. Ideal. Especially when there are no waves and wind. On the left end of beach you can see group of rock to snorkle. Recommend.
P.S. Just one negative thing is absence of toilet. The only one is in the restaurant with ugly staff: Toilet only for customers. There are lots of sighs on Seychelles saying "Leave nothing but footprints on beach". So if you want to act like this don't eat too much here or visit toilet a earlier.
