The whitest sand and beautiful blue waters and lots of shade makes this my favourite beach on the island. Snorkeling is great on the far left side of the beach after the big rocks. There is free parking for customers who eat atLe Chevalier restaurant and that was very comfortable for us.Visited June 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 23, 2023

Insiders note! Go past the pay parking at the beginning of the beach road and drive down the beach to the end of the road. There you can park in a guarded parking lot for 100 SR. With that you get a 100 SR coupon to eat at the Le Chevalier restaurant. They have great food and service. You also get free WIFI and a shower. - Miro G3 contributionsBeautiful Anse LazioOne of the best beach I have ever seen. Beautiful and calm place to stres relief. Plenty of shaded and sunny places help you to find best holiday time Easy and quick access - by bus line 61 or 62 and cab (quite a bit more expensive, but the walk uphill then goes away — bus costs you 10 SCR only no matter from). If you come in a rental car there is a large paid parking lot down there (100 SCR I think) Entrance is free. There is a snoorking area. There was a fatality with a shark several years ago, but this can happen anywhere. Beware of currents that pull out into the water but still safe. For families with children it is ideal, as it is shallow for a long time The beach itself is divided into several sections separated by rocks. This was our favourite beach on the island. Crystal clear water, with catamarans parked up in the bay. You can also snorkel between the rocks and see some pretty fish 🐠 No big hotels reserving a section of the beach for sun loungers. Buy fresh coconuts 🥥 from the guys on the beach 30-50sr. There is a restaurant just off the beach but it is currently closed for refurbishment, so bring your own snacks.

Arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in the world means that it is also one of the busiest on the island. Located at the end of the road, there are some parking spaces before the beach, or you can press on to one of the lodges or food establishments. There are plenty of spaces on the beach in the sun and in the shade. As a popular beach, there are warnings about possessions, so all should keep an eye on their stuff. Like any beach, please take your garbage with you when you leave. If you stay on the beach long enough, you will see van full of tourists come and go.

Our driver, dropped us within meters of the beach. It’s as you have imagined, fine white sandy beach, granite boulders, palms hugging the shores, plenty of space to find a shady spot. When we were there, the waves where fairly high and strong, so not ideal for snorkeling, in fact very few bathers snorkeled. There are 1 or 2 unsavory characters, so watch your belongings. I personally found the popularity of this beach over rated. My personal favorite for Seychelles is Carana beach on Mahe.
Across the sand road, where the beach starts, there is a restaurant, see my other review for Le Chevaliers Bay Restaurant.

Nov 2021
There is no construction yet around Anse Lazio and when there in November 2021 it had only very few people, so I really enjoyed my stay and swimming at this beautiful beach with easy approach into the crystal clear and quiet water (this time of the year). While lying in the soft, white sand, looking at the granite boulders on both sides of the about 600m long beach and some also sticking out of the sea, I was trying to figure out which beaches I liked best in my life. This was one of them, others that came spontaneously to my mind were Radhanagar Beach on Havelock Island in India's Andamans, Kilwa Masongo Beach in southern Tanzania or Lalomanu beach on Samoa and there are probably plenty more, alone in my second home, Greece.
The car park for Anse Lazio is at the back of the tree line with mostly Takamaka trees. Not many palms can be seen. Behind the beach is also a small pond. When lying on the beach I could observe a sooty tern sitting on the sand.

This is may favorite beach in the world. I love it and visited it everyday in my 5 day visit to the Island. Each the day the waves was different, sometime calm and sometimes bigger. I loved the big waves. The water is crystal clear and blue. The surroundings are beautiful and was never crowed. We rented a car at the hotel to get around the Island - Paradise Sun Hotel. Love you Anse Lazio and Seychelles

While visiting during the crazy covid-19 period, the beach was essentially all to ourselves... it was almost surreal. The water was crystal clear, but this time of year a bit of seaweed washes ashore (not terrible). Definitely a must when on Praslin.

Bonjour, sortant d’une fracture à la jambe, j’aimerais savoir si il est possible d’accéder à la plage sans faire 15 min de marche ? Ou d’arriver en bateau ? D’avance, merci pour vos retours.

Hi guys. Soon I will visit anse Lazio for some surfing. Does anyone know if there is a possibility of renting surfboards at the beach?
Thanks

Hello! Anybody can advise on getting to Anse Lazio from Sainte Anne bay and return? I would arriving from Mahe just to spend the day. To go North and then return to get back to the jetty. Is this viable? Is there any restaurant in the area or spot at the beach (Anse Lazio)? Thank you
Shavy
Roeselare, Belgium7,368 contributions
Hi Claudia, it is doable for a day trip from Mahe. Be sure to book your return ticket, and best to take the last ferry back.
Yes, there is one restaurant near the beach.
The easiest way to reach Anze Lazio is with taxi.
When you get off the ferry, walk through the parking area where you find lots of taxis. Set the price before you get in and ask him to come back in the afternoon. Don't give the money, tell him you pay when you're back to the jetty.
Enjoy in the paradise ;)
