Walking with Turtles
Mar 2021
You cannot come to Seychelles and miss this visit. An absolutely stunning little island that you can walk through and enjoy nature. A huge number of turtles that you can walk through and pet.

Nice island

Delicious food at the local restaurant, great atmosphere. The reef near is great for snorkeling. And you can walk on the island with the turtles.

Moyenne....Interesting History.....but Better Islands to Visit
Feb 2020
I hate to give an average review here BUT with all the other islands and beauty in the Seychelles, I would try and visit other islands before this. Maybe I was skewed because we had a larger group but it just seemed to lack the depth of amenities and activities that the other islands like La Digue and Praslin had. I realize it is totally different but if you only have 10 days or so to explore, I would focus on other islands.

All said, it does have an interesting history of ownership and it is now run by a foundation from the last owner which will preserve it's history and heritage.

Fabulous
Feb 2020 • Couples
I have given this 5 stars due to its beauty. However what really makes it special is that the whole place is for dedicated to nature and not humans. The ex Fleet Street journalist bought the island for in the 60’s and set about nurturing the giant tortoise population, planting trees and making sure the paradise was protected for ever but leaving it to a trust upon his death. The trust does welcome visitors but uses the profits to protect and maintain the natural world. Greta Thunberg and David Attenborough would be proud of this gem. The trust serve a lovely well priced buffet for visitors. Make sure you support this place.

Beutiful small island for exploring and bathing . Take 2 hours to go up the beautiful path through-the forest and finish with bathing in green waters .

Beautiful place to visit
Dec 2018
Visited this island from a cruise in 2018. A beautiful place with stunning scenery. Enjoyed the walk around the island though it is quite up and down.
Enjoyed seeing the giant turtles living there and also the birdlife.

Gorgeous

Not even a tropical rainstorm could ‘dampen’ our spirits on this visit.

Walk round the island takes c.45 mins but longer if you want to stay on the second beach.

Lots of plants and views to see as well as the wonderful and friendly tortoises! A real treat.

There are a number of up and downhill climbs so please be aware of this, otherwise a wonderful thing to do.

There is a cafe on the beach. A lemon juice and coke cost €9. Delicious drink but make sure you take your pennies!

Tortoises!
Mar 2019
We visited this small island for the day, mainly to see the giant tortoises, and boy did we see plenty!
The entrance has a lot of stairs to climb so be aware off your fitness level.
You can walk around the island as we did and go visit the many secluded beaches.
Highly recommend for a visit.

Between the giant tortoises the beautiful sand bank. The wonderful story of Brendan grimshaw who lived on the island . If you are lucky enough to visit this beautiful little bit of paradise take a day trip and fall in love with inner island in the st Anne marine park .
