Akiva is a gracious and expert guide of the galil and Golan. We recently toured with our 6 and 4 year old boys, and were nervous about the 100 degree heat, but we were surprised and happy to be whisked away in a sleek and comfortable land rover, (with amazing a/c) we had a quick dip in the Jordan, drove up mountains, visited abandoned bunkers and took in the beauty of Israel.
Akiva, was really amazing, he is "one with the land" and is an expert on all parts of Israel's history, local geography, plant & agricultural species, and has a love for the local birds. I would highly recommend Akiva for your family tour in northern Israel!

We felt so lucky to have spent two days with Akiva touring northern Israel
He is a former IDF soldier- so you will hear history first hand. His Land Rover is very comfortable & he will take you to places off road that are not the typical tourist places.
Our favorite is Susito - an incredible old Roman ruin that is quite large. It overlooks the Sea of Galilee- and we were the only people there.
He took us to local restaurants too
We went by important sites such as the Valley of Tears. You will be right on the border with Syria.
Another magical moment was going into the Golan Heights to a winery- he just drove in! We watched a machine pick grapes - then ate a few that were left. Akiva then went by a nearby apple orchard & he picked the most delicious apples.
I suggest booking 2-3 days with him and letting him help you pick where to go - based on your interests. He will suggest hotels too.

We had a one day tour with Akiva to see the Golan Heights. He was on time to pick up our group of 4 adults. He was attentive to what we wanted to see and a wealth of information. He has a ready sense of humor and is able to impart a tremendous amount of information without overwhelming you. We went to a Druze restaurant after we saw the Golan Heights and two memorials there. We had the best falafel of our trip. I still regret not ordering one more plate of this. I would highly recommend using Akiva. He is professional, kind and we enjoyed our day with him very much. It was one of the highlights of our travel to Israel.

My son and I had the great fortune of touring and learning from Akiva, a thoughtful and humble man. There is no better way to explore the north of Israel than with Akiva and in his Jeep.

Knowledgeable and great sense of humor. Very comfortable Range Rover. Toured the Golan Heights and found the entire experience a 10 out of 10. His English is excellent. Also took us to some wonderful places to eat. Great experience.

I just spent a day touring the Lebanese border area and the Goan Heights area with Akiva of Akiva Jeep Tours. Akiva, a kind, cordial man who has a deep lknowledge of the northern lands, drove us on mostly dirt tracks to visit an ancient burial site of three venerated rabbis, a lovely forested area where Israel’s hike and picnic, an ancient Jewish settlement site, Syrian bunkers from the six-day war, and views of both the Syrian and Lebanese borders. Not only did we see amazing sites, but we appreciated learning the details of ancient and modern events that occurred in the places we visited. Without in-depth knowledge of the area and of history, doing such a tour without Akiva is impossible. His tour was the highlight of my travels.
