This is a monument for the Russian victory over Germany in the second World war. It is beautifully sculptured and positioned overlooking the sea. Enjoy

Interesting, free memorial across from
lagoon Beach in Netanya. Visit at your own pace - maybe 30 minutes to an hour

A beautiful dedication to the trials and survivors of the holocaust. The exhibit starts with the frightening events of the holocaust and ends in victory hence the “wings of victory “ and an inside to the relief when the terror ended ❤️

Was very pleasantly surprised. I thought there was. only a statue of wings and had no idea that there was so much more.It represents the Russian Red army's winning the Nazis.
There are also many interesting exhibitions of the holocaust etc. And all of these exhibits are across the street of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Definitely worth seeing. It would be nice if Natanya would take better care of the place!

See my April 2016 review.

To that I can now add that there is an open amphitheater seating a few hundred people.

We happened by when there was a parade and marches- ceremonies honoring the importance of this memorial.

Here are some photos of the flags.

This area is dedicate to the history Israeli wars. A Mercava tank, a couple of artillery units, a small photo exhibition inside the Yad-le-Banim building. The exposition around features some contemporary art installation and a replica of German railway car that was transporting Jews to a concentration camp. The center point of the area is the Russian monument named "From dark to light". Its resembles the history of WWII and liberation of Europe (the SU view on this history). Two impressive wings face the seaside. There is a path inside the n\monument that takes us from 1941 (the start of WWII in the USSR) to the victory of 1945. The path is decorated with memory items (old weapons, etc.) as well as barelief replicas of famous photos from that period. The path is accompanied with voice explanations in three languages - just press the right button on either side of the tunnel.

Access to the Mediterranean beach is limited in this area. The monument is a nice marker to that entrance. Situated high on the bluff great views are easily had here. Worth a few minutes of your time
