Small sample of the caves that go under all of Nazareth. Truly remarkable insight into the time around Christ. They hid to hide from the Romans so I guess there was no above ground Nazareth in the day. Donation entry.

This is a little off-the-beaten-path for visitors in Nazareth: hidden behind a public parking lot you enter a structure covering the entrance to a cave that served as a hiding place for early Christians (and Jews) in times when these faiths were not very popular.......More
