In the old city tucked away amid shops. We visited on a tour of churches. Great shops around as well and always greeted by friendly people.

This is a synagogue which is situated at old market in Nazareth. This place is quite inside and not easily identified. Okay place.

This was one of the few places in the Holy Land were crowds were not an issue, and we felt that the site was in his original state. We could "feel" Jesus getting up to read from the scrolls in the room.

More of significance given history than actual beauty in the building it self. Both outside and inside not too photogenic

This church lets you see how the early churches were, as Christians gathered in a synagogue. The market in the way in is also interesting.

It is right in the middle of Old Nazareth market. This narrow Old market street starts near the exit from Basilica of the Annunciation. The Synagogue Church was closed, so I took several photos from outside.

This Church is located in the middle of Nazareth's Old market, between the Basilica of the Annunciation and a White Mosque. You won't find it on the map. When you next to the entrance to the Basilica of the Annunciation, you can see the narrow...More

I wandered into this little place when I was looking for the White Mosque - but so glad it did. It is a real find. Its simplicity is special.

A seemingly modest building is an excellent example of a first century synagogue which also represented the local meeting place. A well trained guide will also explain the history, customs and the local Gospel significance of the building.

Within walking distance of Main Street. Minimal furnishings but gives good idea of an early synagogue. A good place to take a group if you want a rest and a place to talk.
