Terrible attitude of the owner

I never rated any place so low. The guy there was so rude. At first we asked about the price, and we thought about if we wanted to take it. Eventually, we agreed, and then he suddenly told us that he didn't want to guide us. He was very rude from the first mintue we entered his place

A Must See
Oct 2019
It's interesting that this amazing site is so overlooked by tourists visiting Nazareth as it is a unique site and since Jesus lived in Nazareth he likely used this bath house. The tour is about 45 minutes long and very informative. The price is the same for 1-4 people so get your small group together and enjoy this unique experience without the crowds. Elias served us Arabic coffee, water and dates stuffed with walnuts. Right in front of Mary's well in the Cactus shop.

The place is unique in its kind and very well conserved. Elias gives you a warm welcome and guides you through time with the history of the bathhouses, explanations of the system and the amazing stories on how he discovered this historical places. All while enjoying a traditional coffee.
If you pass by, you should definitely go and enjoy the visit!

Very interesting visit!

We loved the tour Elias gave us! The story behind the Ancient Bathhouse where Jesus came was very interisting! The hospitality was warm! The setting perfect. Sit back and relax with a traditional coffee for a detailed explaination of history. Afterwards you still have time to take a stroll around the cosy shop. Beautiful ethnic jewelery. You will see everything with a new insight. When you come outside you're welcomed by chill bars and restaurants in the Middle of the holy heart, Mary's Well Square.

Nearly missed it

DK book on Nazareth does not even mention this although lonely planet rate it highly. No.1 I think. Really interesting and a great insight to the timeline of the area. Casts doubts on some religious stuff.
The owners have dug the site out as no help from Israel or the Vatican (probably because it messes up the church of annunciation‘s idea of the site of Mary). Pre Roman bath dating 100BC. CIRCA.
Whatever. It is a great visit.

Highlight of our Trip to Nazareth - not to be missed
Aug 2018 • Family
Not on our original "To-Do List" before arriving in Nazareth, these baths ended up being the most enjoyable location we visited. Authentic, even if not developed for hoards of tourists, the owner of the baths was our tour guide. Between the gifts of figs and dates, the story of discovery of the baths was told. The fact that they were built before the time of Christ and that he and his family may have bathed there is pretty cool. All in all, not to be missed.
