The workshop of Joseph is below this church! We didn't get to tour through the workshop but it looks like you can. So try and ask someone. There was a lot going oin here. The main area was also excavated and is the home of...More

Of the dozens of grand churches we've visited during our pilgrimage, this tiny, unassuming Church is one of my favorites (the other one is the Church of Saint John the Baptist). After the awe-inspiring, humongous Church of the Annunciation, the Church of Saint Joseph reminded...More

Nazareth is the place where Jesus Christ grew up and the Church of St Joseph is said to be located at the very spot where Joseph had his carpentry shop.A place for prayer and meditation,it is an integral part of Holyland!!

What can be said about Joseph. I feel he is the most under appreciated saint. To love someone else's child takes a man with a good heart. Here you can see his work site where he taught Jesus to fabricate stone and not wood as...More

Joseph’s Church is much smaller than Mary’s. Similarly there is a archeological site below the church of a ritualistic bath for purification. Just 2 minutes walk from Mary’s annunciation church. Paid parking in close by locations.

This church is connected to the church of the annunciation and supposedly is at the site where Joseph had his carpentry shop. If true it was in a cave in the hills here.

Got the opportunity to visit this church in Nazareth, which is at a walking distance from the Church of the Annunciation. Inside this church there is a stairway which descends to a crypt and further steps lead to a square basin or pit. Catholic tradition...More

Very close to the Church of the Annunciation, this church is built over the ruins of the home of the Holy Family. It is interesting to get a perspective of how close Joseph and Mary lived to each other.
