About Hantourism
Hantour is Arabic for ‘horse-drawn carriage’. Hantours are still popular among local farmers in Jericho for transporting crops and agricultural products from their farms to the central vegetable and fruit market. Hantourism started using local farmers’ horse-drawn farm carriages as means of transportation for Jericho city tours. Today, Hantourism offers many community-based tours in all major destinations around Palestine

Hantourism did a great job helping us set up a trip. First, Auberg Hostel is a great hostel, with good prices and generous food. When our departure was at 4am (to go to Masada), they got up to fix us breakfast. Second, he connected us with a great driver, Nour, who took us everywhere. Third, he gave us good advice on where to go (and where to avoid). Great group. I will use them again next year, without question.

First of all, I would say that we are both a bit introverted and the thought of having hanging out with a stranger for the day is a source of anxiety; any apprehension however, was quickly dispelled as our guides turned out to be two of the most open, sincere and welcoming people you could meet. In both instances, it felt like we spent our time with a friend, and the tours were absolutely the highlight of our trip. The level of service from this company is extraordinary, and they go out of their way to make sure that everything goes well. Our tour in Hebron was incredible. Ayman, our guide, showed us many fascinating sites, and introduced us to a broad range of really interesting people, who we would never have had the opportunity to speak to otherwise. Ayman has so much knowledge, and passion for this beautiful, ancient city and his insightful conversation of various aspects of life in this city was so educational; we learnt so much in such a short space of time. The way he presents information is fantastic, and let’s face it, he has a great sense of humour and knows all the best jokes. :) :) :) We had a tour in Nablus, with Ehab. No one could help but fall in love with this city and it’s people. Ehab is clearly very intelligent - an academic and thinker; it was an honour to spend time with him. He was patient and knowledgable and answered our questions openly, honestly and without bias. We spent hours learning the history, sociology, architecture, culture (and omg the food he showed us!). Ehab is very cool. He knows all the best local places to hang out and is such a great guy to talk toI think we spent about 7 or 8 hours walking around talking, and somehow it still felt like it was over to fast. It would be a shame to visit this country and not stay in Nablus for at least one night. Ayman and Ehab were easily the best, most knowledgeable guides that we have ever had on a trip, and are the kind of people that anyone would want as friends. We will definitely be visiting, and using Hantourism again.

I found Hantourism online when I was planning my trip to Israel and Palestine this past Christmas 2019 (Dec 20-Jan 3). Im a DIY traveler so I only needed transportation services between Israel and Palestine (due to the known restrictions between the two countries). As a VERY demanding customer myself, I must note that from the very first moment they got in touch with me it was like live chatting! "Ashraf" was my primary contact via whatsapp and, OH BOY!, what a gold star customer service!!! His constant responses and patience during my trip planning, and his eagerness to make our trip possible and find the best options for us was simply mind-blowing! His timeliness and professionalism was outstanding. Our difference in time zone (about 7 hrs ahead) was not an excuse to forget about my inquiries or requests. Ashraf made sure he answered and addressed every single question and item on my list in a timely manner. And even during our trip he always followed up with us to make sure we were having a great time. Boy that's what I call customer commitment! Taxi services were ALWAYS on time and never delayed. Hantourism transportation services was able to go in and out of Palestine and Israel without any issues. That really saved us a lot of time and the hassle of using public transportation or individual taxis during our trip due to the restrictions between both countries. Using Hantourism transportation made our trip an easy one. In addition to the great customer support from Ashraf, I must also note that the driver assigned to us during our trip, "Ramadan" was mega outstanding, respectful, professional and he never left us behind no matter what. From the moment I arrived alone (single girl) to Israel in the middle of the night, I felt completely safe riding with Ramadan. Our group of 4 always felt in good hands when we traveled with Ramadan all over Israel and Palestine. He was truly patient, friendly and absolutely kind to us. His explanations about the areas we visited and his recommendations helped us understand what was going on in both countries (Israel and Palestine). His support to us was outstanding and our trip was possible thanks to the services provided by Hantourism team. Both of them, Ashraf and Ramadan, were always accessible via Whatsapp and that really gave us great peace of mind and helped us stay in touch in cases of emergency. Bottom line, from 1-10 I would give Hantourism a big 20! and I will recommend this company 100%. I will definitely contact them again on my next visit to the area.

An extremely clear and comprehensive insight into the political/geographic reality on the ground in Jerusalem. Good balance of seeing some key locations in place, and transportation by bus to get wide views of the big picture.Knowledgeable commentary, with opportunities to ask questions arising.

I recently spent a week exploring the Palestinian territories and booked a few tours through local tour guide cooperative called Hantourism. Bethlehem tour - George took a small group (4 people) round the main religious sights in Bethlehem. The tour was very good, George was very knowledgable and all the arrangements were super easy. Hebron reality tour - Ayman led a small group around the city, allowing us to see the situation in a transparent, balanced and considerate manner. We had the chance to interact with Israeli soldiers, Palestinian security, Palestinian families and Israeli settlers. I would say that it is quite difficult to get access to everything you really should see in this city because of the tension and history without a decent guide. If you do only one tour while on a Trip to Palestine or Israel, I would 100% recommend this one. Sugar Trail mountain biking - Mohammad took me on one of the greatest days riding I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. We rode from Azarya (Bethany) to Jericho along ancient trade route through the arid mountains. Mohammad was an excellent guide, the bikes were of very good quality (new Marine full suspension 29er), and the riding amazing. Its not cheap and requires a bit of effort to arrange the logistics but this was such a great experience in an amongst all the politics. Highly recommended.
