Mount Temptation is a must-see in Jericho, and a donkey ride was the perfect alternative to hiking in the heat. As the donkeys live in the Auberg-Inn guesthouse garden, you can go visit them and see for yourself that they are happy and healthy, which is really important. The tour itself was a lot of fun, with a friendly and knowledgeable guide and stubborn yet lovely donkeys. Very recommended!

Enjoyable time. Proper guidance through this beautiful place. Words are hard to describe the majesty. Kindhearted guide with lots of knowledge. I highly recommend this to anyone in Jericho. Smile on my face just thinking about it! :)

We visited St. George Monastery today. The people were nice, but the donkeys were not well taken care of. I gave two points and not one because the donkey's didn't seem to be starving. However, you could see lacerations by their front legs beneath them where the strap from the seat is. It was incredibly sad. They also had open wounds that flies were getting to. People who commented that these amazing animals were taken well care of obviously didn't inspect them well enough. Overall, these animals need to be taken better care of for how much the tours charge to ride the donkey (nearly $100! or maybe that's just what they were trying to get from us).
