The Port of Jaffa was a great idea that never took off.
It has a some restaurants and a few shops but for some reason the development of the area stopped short of being great like the Nalam in Tel Aviv.

Walking in Yaffo boardwalk and sidewalks has entirely different atmosphere than rest of Tel Aviv. It is old mixed with new. Jewish and Arab (and many others!). Christian and Muslim. You meet a lot of tourists from all over our planet and hear different languages....More

The Jaffa promenade is clean and pleasant. Good view of one of the oldest harbors in the world, dating back to Egyptian times (or before), as well as the Tel Aviv strand. Great place for a sunset photo with Tel Aviv in the background.
