Jaffa is a must see when visiting the Tel Aviv area. Aside from the old city- which has always been a gem, with its alleys and galleries, there has been a revival to it the last times I had visited it. The flea market area in particular. I recommend not going on Friday morning when it is too crowded by locals. Late mornings around lunch time is perfect. The cute restaurants in the flea market area, like Onzo or Pua, are fantastic. Seating is outside- great for this COVID era. If looking to pamper yourself or to bring an original present back home, I discovered a shop with spa creams, soaps and masks, with the Dead Sea minerals, very reasonably priced called City Spa, located on a small street called Beit Eshel close to the Clock Tower. I was sent by a friend from back home (from the US) to buy a specific foot cream, and the owner (Gamliel) went out of his way to bring me that product after he ran out of it that day. Exceptional service and great product. The nice thing about this revived area in Jaffa, of the flea market, its restaurants, the street shops- flat and all wheelchair/ stroller accessible.

Jaffa Flea Market has a variety of old wares, including vintage garments, objet d'art and many other things which might be of value to travelers. The cafes are tempting, with dishes typical of the Middle East. The flea market also has pop-up bars, for a pick-me-up. The flea market is in Old Jaffa, which is technically a suburb of Tel Aviv, or reverse.

The Jafa Flea market used to be one of the best of its kind anywhere. It is still a place that one will enjoy visiting.Still most of the quality antique shops are gone. Owners have retired or moved into online auction which cuts costs considerably.
Instead many restaurants and pubs moved in following Pua which has been there for years and the yappy crowd which occupies new residence projects in Jaffa and the increased number of tourists arriving in Tel Aviv.
So for th next couple of years (2020, 2021) you may still enjoy some fun shopping and chaming food and drink establishments. After that? well this is the Middle East -do not try to make predictions.

You will spend hours here. Might as well give it a full day. Shops of handcrafts, design and some of the best food. In the night, bars and restaurants move into the streets and live performances happen. Go! Don’t miss out.

I wanted to like it more but it really wasn’t worth spending too much time there. Lots of junk. If we didn’t have to pack it in my suitcase there may have been some desirable pieces. It was very very hot so that made the experience much less enjoyable too.

We spent some time exploring this flea market when we were visiting Jaffa and really enjoyed it. You never know what sorts of things will be around the next corner. All sorts of things are available for sale and the atmosphere is nice. There are also cafes and restaurants in the area, making it easy to relax and watch the scene. I would definitely visit this market if you can when you are in Tel Aviv.

It's a large series of sites full of antiques. It's like going back in time 400 years or so. It's a town on the water, so you have beautiful views from most places of the Mediterranean. You can negotiate prices with them because business is bad now.

It was a lot of fun spending the day in Jaffa. Included was the famous flea market. Yes there is a lot of junk (one man's trash...) but there are a lot of cool things too. My son bought a couple of old Mercedes key chains for what seemed like a lot at the time. Come to find out they are worth twice as much on line. Our friend also bought a beautiful rug from one of the locals. Get a cold drink and walk the many streets of the market. Happy hunting!

It was fun to walk around and look at the stuff, but some of the sales people are a bit pushy. One guy blocked me from getting out of his booth. I think I would have been a bit nervous walking around alone. My friends did find some stuff they bought, but the quality was just so-so.

Is the Flea Market open on Friday May 26 or closed for Shavuot?

I'm sorry, I don't know. I suggest you contact the Jaffa information service, which is just near the flea market, near the clock tower.

Hi, I would like to know how much the wine tours are. I have searched all the website for the info but no luck.
