Bike hire in Telaviv
Jun 2016 • Couples
Good way to explore the city; fast, convenient and fun; a bit bit fiddly to start with but get the hang of it in the end. You have to change your bike every 30min in various stops to avoid extra charge. You can only use one credit card per person as the card is used as identification

EXCELLENT BUT NOW GONE!

After giving this location a wonderful review last year it appears this bike shop has now vanished. The website has been taken down and the telephone number has been disconnected. Perhaps they have moved rather than shut down, but there is no information that would suggest either.

The only other bike shop I'd be comfortable going to in Jaffa as a non Hebrew speaker is GreeBike on Yitzhak Ben Zvi Street. They will charge 50 Shekels for a puncture repair on a standard (non electric bike). Other shops in the area may be cheaper, but are rather intimidiating if you're not local as they are basically a walk in workshop that also sells bikes. Such a shame because Wheel Bee gave excellent customer service and were right in the heart of Old Jaffa.

good service & price. nice peoples!

took electric bicycle twice. it was fun, i got instruction how to deal with the bike and any situation that may happen. it's not the only place I have seen and I know it's a good price. obviously because it's a bit hard to see. it's in a small alley. so the shop in the main street is expensive...
B line - it was a good experience and the people in the place give you a big smile too :)

A friendly, helpful place with a great service ideally located close to the Jaffa/Tel Aviv bike trail. Couldn't recommend more.

The best ever
Sep 2014
We hired 3 electric bikes with children seats. We toured the whole of tel aviv and Batyam on bikes. The staff was amazing. So helpful and accommodating. The bikes are safe and so much fun. We hired bikes for 3 weeks. I would highly recommend wheel bee. It's the best place in tel aviv to rent electric bikes. We can't wait to come back next year to rent again. Thank you elinor for your amazing world class service. Nothing was too much trouble for you. You have an amazing business. See you next year.

Decent bike rental in Jaffa
Sep 2014 • Couples
We rented two city bikes from this friendly local place for the afternoon (NIS 55 for 6 hours) and cycled south through Jaffa and on to Bat Yam (a pleasant seaside resort a few kilometers away — just follow the coastal path the whole way).

The bikes are OK ... You probably wouldn't want to do any serious distance on them, but for a few hours around the area, they're fine.

An okay experience, though not exactly ideal

If you're expecting to rent a $1200 Specialized mountain bike for 75 shekels a day, you're going to be in for a big disappointment. But if you just want a ride and aren't picky about rough edges, this might be the place for you.

I picked Wheel Bee because it was reasonably close to where I was staying. The bikes in inventory were kind of rough, but that might be as usual for rental bikes; I generally don't rent, but I wasn't going to shlep my Brompton folder 10,000 km for one day of riding.

It took a few tries, but I eventually got a bike suitable for my ride that day of about 30 km. Jonathan was very helpful and cooperative, so if you run into a problem, be sure to ask to get it resolved - it'd be a shame if you don't give them a chance to fix it.

All in all, I was happy with the experience. If you're a purist, used to multi-thousand-dollar bikes, you might not be. But if you calibrate your expectations, you'll do fine.

Awesome staff!

While looking for something to do in old jaffa I found this great place hiding in one of the alleyways. The staff that was in the store made me smile before I even walked in :)
After a quick conversation about renting a bike to ride around Tel Aviv, the manager recommended some places I should check out and I took off!
Came back after 48 hours to return the bike, was welcomed with a hearty smile (again)
- PS. Take a bottle of water before riding on the beach side ~Shabat shalom guys!

Great choice!

I rented a bike from them for 10 days because I wanted to ride around the north of the country. The bike was good, and they provided me with a basket, tools, a spare tube, a good lock... Anything I might have needed. They were really nice and professional, and even gave me some advice on how to plan my route. I will choose them again if I need to rent a bike in Tel Aviv, for sure!

Excellent!

Had a punctured tyre that needed repair. Very happy I popped into WBBR before going anywhere else. Jonny spoke excellent English to my relief, his manners were impeccable and after I returned to the shop with my bike later that same day, the puncture was repaired within 15 minutes! For those on vacation and have the same issue I paid NIS 40 (price was taken from a price list) which I believe would have been far more if I had gone to one of the 'bike shops' that you see along Sderot Yerushalyim.
