This monument, designed by the famous Israel sculptor and environmental artist Dani Caravan, is perched on top of a hill overlooking the expanding city of Beer Sheva with excellent views also to the north. Sunset is particularly nice here. People come to take in the views and to photograph what they can see, also the romp and play in this modernist monument, a landmark in the south of Israel.

Nice monument, after a steep 1 minute climb. a great lookout on the city. great photography opportunities. kids love to climb and run through the different places. parental guidance required because some places are a bit risky if you climb on.Almost an eternal sunny location

Located on a hill and viewing the city of Be'er Sheva who surround it, this Monument tells a story through all its grey exposed concrete- the story of the troops and soldiers who had fought and died on the battle of freeing the little city of Be'er Sheva during Isrel's independent war. Designed by Dany Karavan, an Israeli architecture and artist, this monument is a well known work of him that won known designed prizes.

Enjoy the view in a sunny day, no matter what the season is, watch the city of Be'er Sheva and her developing, the known university of Ben-Gurion to your right and the great desert to your left.

The view of Beersheba from the monument is impressive and alone worth the visit.

If you are in to big sculptues then this is worth a visit.

The story adds to one's visit and if you do not have a guide take Google with you or read up/print out in advance.

I knew the place from my reading about israel's war with its Arab neighbour to establish their promised land. From book, the imagination was very vivid. And when I visited this monument of Negev Brigade, it was very overwhelming. Form of the monument is just appropriate for the place. However the little maps that are painted on ground were getting erased. This needs to be maintained. What more is required is a real garden surrounding the monument to make it more inviting. This will help visitor spent sometime in serene way.

This is definitely the coolest place in the boring town of Beersheva.
It's a weird installation in which sound and visual effects are created from the surroundings. you can spend at least 30 minutes there, or even have a picnic.
Not sure how easy it is to access via public transportation though. It's not really in the city.
