We visited the museum today (parents and two teenagers) and had a great time!!! A lovely place, warmly recommended!!! Miri and Eddie are world-class artists with extraordinary talent and a warm heart. They welcomed us for a fascinating visit, where we were exposed to their spectacular works, full of magic and humor. We got a wonderful explanation of the stories behind the works, which also included interesting details about how the artists worked. We recommend to anyone who is in the area to stop for a visit to the museum, worth every moment, a fun, entertaining and enriching experience!!!

We stayed in the doll museum and a couple of artists welcomed us in the light of the face and opened their stunning home with a collection of diverse and special characters. Beyond the unconventional works of art, the explanation behind each character enriched the tour. Highly recommended

The Museum of Fine Arts and Dolls is undoubtedly the pearl of Arad 🙌 Responsible for all this impossible beauty are real professionals in their field - artists-sculptors-illustrators Miri Leibovich and Eduard Shruster. Eddie was born in Riga. He is a true Riga resident, although he has been in Israel for a long time. Miri makes papier-mâché dolls. She sews all the intricate and stylish costumes for them herself. Eduard is a sculptor in metal, bronze and copper; in addition, he creates porcelain dolls. All sculptures and dolls are one of a kind, unique and original, each with its own character and history. Most of the museum's puppets are characters from the Commedia Dell'Arte (Comedy of Masks). Commedia dell'arte is characterized by improvised dialogue and recurring characters with established character traits. This type of theater originated in Italy in the 16th century. Miri and Edie were fascinated by the comedy of masks, starting with an extensive trip to Europe, which was made possible thanks to scholarships they received as especially distinguished students. The filigree images created by the artists are very recognizable - Harlequin, Ruby, Gavrielo and Carlo Galdoni himself, as well as lesser-known, but very expressive characters. Eddie's bronze and metal sculptures are no less stunning. One Queen of Savva is worth something👏👏👏 And Cervantes, and Don Quixote, and Paganini... You can list and list. Miri's papier mache dolls, by God, look like they're alive. And how philosophical is the work of a newspaper delivery man, made from newspapers👏👏👏 Eddie also spoke in detail about the process of making porcelain dolls. How he first sculpts them from clay, then makes a plaster mold, and then uses that mold to make a doll. In addition to dolls created in the spirit of commedia dell'arte, in the museum you can see the famous Purim trio - the beautiful Vashti, King Ahasuerus and the villain Haman. Miri and Edie are world-class virtuoso artists. Their works are featured in numerous exhibitions. What can I say, if you’re in Arad, be sure to go to the museum and see for yourself 🙌

We arrived two sisters without warning before, we found it closed, but 10 minutes later the lelephonata came out Edi, and welcomed us with a smile. He has us accommodation in the living room in the company of statues and puppets, and explained at length. With coffee in hand. We spent two magical hours with Edi miri and their artwork. The visit costs NIS 100, but it's worth the cost. A unique place

Today we (my husband and I) visited the dolly museum in Baghdad. Eddie and the charming Mary welcomed us in the light of the face. The talented Eddie explained the process of sculpture in various materials. It was interesting and fascinating. Miri explained her work in doll design.

This is amazing! Wonderful people! The talented sculptors are the painters Miri and Edward! We have enjoyed seeing their work and learning many interesting things! Their creativity is exclusive! Everyone is a work of art! And every job has a soul! Thank you, Edouard and Miri, for hosting us (although we didn't agree in advance, our whole trip is impromptu), thank you for giving us so many experiences! It's worth seeing! To hear! And set the mood for yourself! Thank you!!!

One word cannot describe the feeling. It's a fantasy, it's a literary and cultural history, the skill of high-class artists we've never met, especially face-to-face, at home, surrounded by characters of their work. I've never had such fun with people and talent. Thanks again.

The place is unique and interesting like no other. Eddy and Miri, the creators of all the sculptures (not dolls as they emphasize) tell the wonderful story of the works that populate the place and in the process also the story of their lives.
Different materials are used here, with special sculpting and creation techniques and the final result is amazing.
The place gives the visitor a special and individual cultural experience and allows you to enjoy almost two hours in a world full of magic.

A very strange experience, you will remember it for a long time, and not in the good sense of the word.
You can certainly call it a gallery, but a museum?
Suitable for a 5 minute visit, not such a long visit.
And paying so much cost an experience?
The artists are kind and definitely talented artists, but a museum, for a fee???

Amazing!!! A museum inside a private house, of a couple of artisans, who create sculptures, embroider dreams, blossom souls in characters from worlds far and near, and fascinate with stories about their creative acts and their lives. Highly recommended, a visit experience!

We had an amazing visit today. Eddy gave us personal tour explaining in details how each doll was made; how his own sculptures were made; he described in details all steps of the doll making, all different techniques - and the dolls are unbelievably alive and real!

If you happen to be in Arad - please make sure you visit this amazing family and enjoy their art works.

Wow-we didn’t know what to expect at a “doll museum” but this was so much more! The experience at this in home museum was absolutely incredible. We were shown handmade dolls - made of many different materials like bronze, plaster of Paris-the muscles, features etc were so expressive. The costumes were all hand made too. We would highly recommend this museum to anyone. There is nothing like it!
